Trapped inside a bewildering maze of seemingly infinite reflections, Xander felt like a flightless insect entangled in a web. The masked assailant was running around like a shadow, switching positions in the blink of an eye.
Xander pulled out his revolver and fired at what he thought was the real attacker, but instead of hitting the actual target, all he managed to do was shatter a glass panel.
Something moved like the wind behind his back, and he snapped around to unload another bullet. But once again he hit a mirror, cracking the glass to pieces.
"You can't keep hiding forever. The mirrors won't help you anymore!"
With that, Xander started shooting the mirrors around him to dispel the illusion. He fired four shots in rapid succession, wrecking the four triangular glass panels on his right. With one wall damaged, the reflections could no longer replicate infinitely, which made life a lot easier for him.
