All these years, the Archeon's Flute had remained dormant inside a protective glass case at the Church of Zitorak where it was worshiped alongside the gray statue of the bearded deity.
Even when the earthquake hit, toppling the church to its foundations, there had been no change in the flute.
Several attempts had been made to dig through the rubble and recover the sacred relic, but the excavation teams always returned empty-handed.
The worshippers of Zitorak had eventually accepted that the relic was gone forever, crushed under the rubble. So, when they rebuilt the church, the original flute was replaced by a cheap replica, just to appease the devotees.
