Xander followed the young cop as he led him through the back door of the pawn shop, which opened onto a dimly-lit alley.
"Through here," the cop said as he squeezed between two buildings and entered an old laundromat.
Traversing through the jumbled maze of abandoned houses and old shops, they eventually reached the main alley which led to the shrine.
Leaving the cop to guard the entrance, Xander pushed the door open and entered the shrine. Since he already had his weapons with him, he went straight to the statue of Amara to replenish his cards.
As soon as Xander uttered the cryptic incantation, a deck of floating cards appeared before him. There were eight cards in total, including the three new Nightmare Cards Xander had recently acquired.
The only card Xander still had in his inventory was Beast Companion. All others had been added to the deck again.
Just as before, Xander grabbed his old cards first.
