"Good morning, Uncle Xander."
Tiva's drowsy voice put a smile on Xander's face. He turned around and wished her back. She had only just woken up and was still trying to get the sleep off her drooping eyelids by rubbing them with the back of her tiny hands.
"You're up early today," Xander said, walking up to her.
"I slept early too," she mumbled, fighting the urge to yawn. "Where's Leena? Is she gone?" she asked, looking around the room with her innocent, doe-like eyes.
"Some work came up, but she'll meet us at the station," Xander said, tucking her stray locks behind her ears.
Tiva looked up like a surprised bunny and asked in her squeaking voice, "Station?"
"I guess I forgot to tell you that." Xander went down on his knee and squeezed her cheek. "We're going on a trip, little lady."
Tiva's eyes lit up as she heard those words. She was so excited that she flung her arms around Xander and let out a delighted shriek.
