The Soulscape always answered the call of a Warden, and being a direct descendant of the Nyxon Bloodline, Xander had the power to enter the realm whenever he was in need. All that he needed to open a portal was a host who had been put in a trance.
However, since Leena had already died and her soul had been forced to prolong its stay in the Soulscape, things had become a lot more complicated. Thus, despite being a Warden of the Soulscape, Xander could not force the portal to manifest in its true size.
