Any Ethereal possessing sufficient intelligence would have already realized that it wasn't a good idea to stand against a divine chieftain from the Dreamscape. Ayala was strong enough to go toe-to-toe with the Infernals, and these cryptids posed no threat to her.
The Ankarog Drones were instinctually drawn to the fresh corpses littered across the street, but the female warrior stood between them and their meal. Ayala's axe sliced through a dozen drones in one fell swoop, and before another group could flank her, she held up her buckler, blocking their leaping blows.
While Ayala kept the drones occupied, the Ankarog Warriors burrowed into the soil and disappeared underground. At the same time, another group of male Drones rushed at the axe-wielding warrior to distract her.
Leena turned around and yelled, "Watch out. Those Warriors just tunneled underground!"
