Traversing dreams and nightmares had become an integral part of Xander's life by now. Back when he was just starting to learn his craft, the idea of training inside a Dreamweaver's imaginary world might have seemed challenging to him, but now it sounded more like a simple practice run.
Xander wasn't exactly thrilled about visiting another dream since he knew it would hardly present the same challenge as a nightmare or a Soulscape encounter. However, it was a good chance to gain some experience points and sharpen his abilities.
A couple of apprentices in their early thirties came back carrying a polished rectangular mirror framed in gold. Its rim was studded with rubies and uncut black diamonds, which reflected the faint light from the wall lamps to create a dazzling display of light and shade.
