Tony took oath to the office and the family moved to the White House. Maybe she loved her home back in Olive Groove more, Marcella didn't feel like home there.
She had reverence toward that place. It was a place with great history and so many great people who formed the nation lived there. That was probably the reason she felt uneasy being there. They were the greats who contributed enormously to the nation. She was not eligible to stand there.
She was offered a chance to renovate the living area. She made sure it resembled their home. Tony, however, was as happy as a child and brought her everywhere while dropping history tidbits for her to enjoy.

Marcella was awed by Tony's history knowledge. She thought after becoming President, Tony's workload would increase, but he spent a lot of time with the family.
