Tony was stunned to see Marcella rushing to welcome David Schmidt. He thanked him for bringing Beth and as she was talking to David, Beth looked at Tony and smiled.
Seeing the excited smile on Beth's face, Tony fisted his hands. When he observed Marcella, he saw how casual she was. He decided not to mind Beth. He needed to take care of his heavily pregnant wife.
But he couldn't take his eyes off Beth.
His eyes ended up frequently on Beth and he noticed her "dancing" with one man or another—every man whose support he needed.
He couldn't take it any longer.
"Why did you invite her?" Tony hissed in Marcella's ear.
"Why not?" she asked. "Did she bother you?" she raised her brows.
The softness around his eyes made his heart skip a beat. Why his eyes could sway, he couldn't figure it out.
"No, but… She's flirting with everyone. I don't need her help in my career," he said.
