"No, Mother, I'm fine," Ray replied, feeling a slight flutter in his heart. Yuvra scrutinized Ray from head to toe, trying to assess if there was anything wrong with him. She noticed that he was having some difficulty moving, but since Ray often came home with minor injuries, she assumed that his current condition wasn't as serious.
Satisfied with Ray's response, Yuvra shifted her focus to another matter. "If you're not hurt, that's good. But there's something I want to ask you now." Ray felt a mixture of confusion and relief. He was relieved to be out of immediate trouble but puzzled as to why his mother wasn't as overprotective as before. He knew that his acting skills weren't convincing enough to deceive her. Perhaps his mother had grown accustomed to him coming home injured.
"What do you want to ask, Mother?" Ray inquired, his curiosity piqued.
