Zions' P.O.V.
After hearing what Jessica and Rain said about Jessicas old Alpha and that Luna Misty knew everything her mate had planned for my mate, Luna Misty didn't even bother to deny any of it. I asked her if it was true, and she admitted it was all true. I had heard enough and knew what I had to do. I linked Evan and James to come in as I was about to send Luna Misty to the dungeon as a prisoner. They entered and lifted her out of the chair. I stood up, making sure I held Rain close as Orian did the same to Jessica, and pushing my Alpha arua onto her, I stripped Luna Misty of her title and pack. I followed that up by telling her she would be sent to the dungeon to await her sentencing for violating our laws. She begged me for forgiveness as Evan and James dragged her out of my office.
"I guess we will need to find a new Alpha for the Blue River Pack," Orian says, and I nod.
"Jessica, have you ever met the Beta and Gamma of the pack?" I ask her.
"Once or twice when I was younger, but I don't remember much about them." She says.
"Orian, call them for a meeting and tell them to be here in two days. Make sure they understand it's not negotiable, they will show up for the meeting, or they will forfeit their titles and be made rogue like their Luna." I say, and Orian nods as he pulls out his cell phone.
"Understood, my King," Orian says as he pulls up the number for the pack house and presses the call button. While he makes his call, I place my head in the crook of Rains' neck and apologize to Her and Jessica for having to use my aura around them.
"There's no need to apologize to us. We understand why you had to do it. Misty was a horrible Luna." Jessica says, and Rain laughs.
"What's so funny?" I ask with a light chuckle.
"Oh, I was just talking to Jess threw the mind link," Rain answers.
"Oh? How is that possible?" I ask, and they look at Orian, who just hung up the phone.
"Well, about that," Orian says as he blushes. "You remember earlier today when you mentioned Jess and I's mating ceremony?"
"Yes," I say with a smile. I wonder if he realizes I already know that they've marked each other.
"How long have you known?" Orian asks.
"Since this morning. I figured you would tell me in your own time." I say.
"Wait, you knew before me?" Rain asks with a huff that I find amusing and cute.
"Yes, my Queen. It wasn't my good news to share." I answer her.
"Why am I always the last to know everything?" She asks dramatically as we all laugh.
"We wanted to let y'all have y'alls special day," Jess says. "I promise we were going to tell y'all both in the morning." And I nod in understanding.
"Well, tomorrow is y'alls special day," I say, looking from Rain to Jessica.
"What do you mean?" Jess asks.
"You will be appointed Rains Beta when she is crowned Queen," I answer her. "Did Orian not tell you?"
"No, he must have forgotten about that little detail." She says as she turns around to stare at Orian, making him blush even harder.
"Don't worry, my love. Lady Ezmerelda has assured me that she will be handling your dress for the ceremony as well." Orian says as he takes her hand and kisses it.
"Okay. I guess it was going to happen eventually. But what about combat training? Don't most Betas have that?" She asks.
"That will come next week for both of you. Neither of you will need the basic training since we saw how well both of you handled yourselves on the field earlier." I say, and Orian nods in agreement.
"Jess taught me everything I know." Rain says with a laugh, making Orian and I look at Jessica questionably.
"My mom and dad trained me a little before they died, and I would teach Rain a few basic defensive positions when we had some free time at the orphanage. It wasn't often, but I wanted her to know a few ways to defend herself if she ever needed to. But I never taught her how to fight like she did tonight." Jessica says with a shrug of her shoulders.
"Well, I'm glad you did as much as you did. You both have the potential to be extremely skilled fighters." I say, making Rain giggle.
The was a light knock on the door, and Rain told them to come in. I'm guessing she knew who it was because she was out of my lap and walking to the door to grab Odett before the door was even open. Odett jumped into her arms as she giggled. Mia and Annie walked in and bowed to us.
"Did they get everything cleaned up?" Rain asks them.
"Yes, my Queen. They weren't too happy about it, but the dining room is as good as new now." Annie says with a laugh.
"Daddy, you should have seen it! Mommy shut them up good." Odett says with another giggle, making me smile.
"I know, baby girl. Mommy is going to be a great Queen, isn't she?" I ask, and she nods happily.
"I've never seen anyone be able to get them to listen and obey like that, my Queen. It was truly amazing." Mia says with a smile.
"I simply stated the truth." Rain says humbly.
"It was quite interesting to watch," I say, and everyone nods in agreement.
"How long were you watching?" She asks me, slightly embarrassed.
"I got there just in time to see you ask them what they thought made their species better than the others and something about them being barbarians," I say with a smile, and her face turns bright red.
"It was hilarious to see old Lord Farquad embarrassed," Jessica says, and everyone but me laughs.
"Who?" I ask.
"You've never seen Shrek?" Rain asks me, and I shake my head.
"Well, I know what we're watching tomorrow night." She says with a laugh. "How about a movie night in the courtyard after dark?"
"Oh, sounds fun! We can have popcorn and smoothies and make palettes for everyone!" Jessica says.
"We'll still have all the guests here," I say, making everyone look at me like I have a third eye or something.
"We'll just need to make sure we have enough palettes and popcorn for everyone. Including the servants!" She says with determination as she looks at Mia and Annie, who are now smiling from ear to ear.
"We can handle the popcorn and smoothies, my Queen," Annie says.
"I can set up the projector, and we have an extra large screen somewhere. I'll have to ask Nikky and Kristy where they put it." Orian says, clearly excited about the movie night as well.
"I'll ask them to help us set up the palettes and blanket." Rain says.
"Yay!! Movie night!!" Odett screams, making everyone laugh.
"What the hell have we gotten ourselves into?" Ryker asks as he laughs.
"Not a clue, man, but there's no way we can say no to them when they are all this happy," I answer him. Everyone stops and looks at me like they're all asking for permission.
"You heard the Princess, movie night," I say, and they all cheer, making me laugh at their happiness.
"Your all heart!" Orian links me while laughing.
"Shut up. I told you already. If it makes them happy, then I'll do it." I tell him, and he nods while still laughing. "What the hell is Shrek? And who is Lord Farquad?"
"You'll have to watch and see." He replies.
"Fine," I say, making him laugh even harder, and I roll my eyes.
"I don't believe it. Did you, The Great Alpha King, roll your eyes at Orian?" Ryker asks.
"Yes, and if you keep it up, I'll roll my eyes at you, too," I say.
"I'm not scared." He says with a snicker. Suddenly I'm pulled out of my conversation with Ryker when Rain asks if I'm ready for bed.
"More than ready!" I say with a cocky smile, making her roll her eyes at me.
"What's with all of the eye rolls? How old are y'all?" Ryker asks, making me laugh.
"Maybe she's rubbing off on me," I tell him. He laughs and shakes his head at my response. I see Odett yawn, and I smile as I pick her up.
"Looks like I'm not the only one ready for bed," I say
"I don't want to go to bed, Daddy," Odett says as she yawns again.
"You won't miss anything, sweetie, I promise," I say. "And you need to sleep tonight so you can stay up tomorrow night for our movie night."
"Oh, okay." She says happily as she finally stops fighting to keep her eyes open.
"And she's out like a light." Rain says as she giggles.
"Sam, get someone to replace Evan in the dungeon, and y'all take the rest of the night off," I tell him, and he nods while giving me a thankful look before we all walk out of my office.
