As the eerie smoke arose in the sky, the city became an even darker place than it used to be. The eclipses not only managed to cover the sunlight, but also turned off any electrical devices due to their field of disruption making it impossible to use the radio to call back the heavenly rank hunters or to broadcast anything to the population.
From the fleeing zeppelins, the lucky citizens that were being evacuated were able to fully grasp the magnitude of the event that was taking place. In one side, a dome of shadows was cast upon the city and right past it they spotted a huge cloud of mist, being lit from time to time with flashes of light that revealed the backshadow of an immense cryptid with six legs and a disfigured maw filled with countless tentacles.
