Nika didn't stop complaining the whole meal that there wasn't any alcohol in the whole base. Contrary to Uriel, she wasn't satisfied with the generous serving of local delicacies nor was she curious about the army. In fact, every minute she spent inside the base felt like an eternity to her, given that she grew up in the revolutionary army who opposed the government.
She hated the uniforms, the discipline, but more than anything, she hated the attention she got wherever she went. Being stared at felt the same as her mystical sense being triggered and she felt she couldn't lower her guard for a second. Because of that, she asked Uriel permission to go rest at their room and he didn't mind since her presence was making things difficult for him too.
Now that he was free to roam around, Uriel decided to check on the army base and see if he could learn something useful. The armory was obviously out of bounds to civilians, but he was glad to see that the garage was not.
