Hikaru was expressionless; he took a sigh and stood up. Ayame also stood up, looking at him. Hikaru said, "I'm sorry, Ayame, but I can't date you." Ayame asked, "Why?" Hikaru said, "I just can't, sorry." She asked, "Why not? Is it because I dated your friend, or you don't like me?" Hikaru replied, "Sorry, Ayame, but I don't feel anything when I'm with you, and I can't force myself to love you." She quickly said, "You will feel it; once we spend more time together, then you will, I'm sure." Hikaru didn't respond. She said, "Let's date; let's spend time together." Hikaru said, "Alright, I will give you an answer tomorrow, after school." She smiled and nodded. Hikaru said, "But I have to go now; your house is near. Can you go by yourself?" She nodded while smiling. Hikaru then sat on his bicycle and rode away.
In his room, Hikaru lay on his bed and closed his eyes. Suddenly, his phone started ringing. He saw his phone and saw it was Chiaki calling. Hikaru looked at his phone ringing and picked up the call. Chiaki said, "Hey Hikaru, where were you? I was waiting for you." Hikaru said, "Why?" She said, "I just wanted to tell you I got two tickets for tomorrow's concert. Will you join me?" Hikaru made a disappointed face and said, "I'm a bit busy right now; I will call you later." She was about to say something, but Hikaru hung up the call abruptly, switched his phone off, and closed his eyes.
It was almost midnight, and Hikaru was at his window looking at the closed window of Ayumi. Hikaru was thinking, "Where is she? I hope everything is fine."
After a few more minutes of wait, finally, Ayumi opened the window. Hikaru got excited and waved at her. She smiled and also waved back, extending her hands towards him and signaling him to come. Hikaru quickly wrote, "Do you want me to come again?" and showed it to her.
After reading, Ayumi excitedly nodded. Hikaru then also nodded and walked outside his room.
He came out from his house and saw that Ayumi had already thrown the bedsheet rope down from her window. Hikaru then started climbing up, and as he reached, Ayumi held his hand and supported him. Hikaru entered her room and saw her stuff was packed. Hikaru looked at her and asks, "Are you shifting?" She nodded and said, "Yes, instead of shifting after a week, my parents decided to shift tomorrow." Hikaru got a bit upset. Ayumi smiled and stood very near, facing him. Both were glancing at each other. Ayumi asked, "Do you believe in destiny?" Hikaru got confused and said, "What?" She asked again, "Do you believe in destiny?" Hikaru said, "I don't know." She smiled and turned her back to him, started walking, saying, "But I believe in destiny." Hikaru seemed confused. Ayumi stopped, looked back, and said, "And our meeting was written in destiny." Hikaru's eyes widened. Ayumi added, saying, "You coming in front of me, becoming the first person I ever talked to, and then you having my cure is not normal. It was written in destiny, in our destiny." She looked at Hikaru with a smile, who seemed a bit confused.
Hikaru said, "What are you trying to say?" She walked towards him, stood facing him, and said, "Let's run away." Hikaru's eyes widened in astonishment, and he said, "Huh?" Ayumi held his hand with both of her hands and said, "Please, Hikaru, let's run away, please." Hikaru was shocked. She added, saying, "You are my cure, Hikaru." Hikaru was shocked, and he said, "What are you saying?" She said, "I want to see the ocean. I want to run on grass. I want to sit under the tree. I want to live my life. I know it won't last forever, but still, even if it's for a few days or even for a few hours, I just want to live." Both were glancing at each other. Ayumi added, saying, "Hikaru, we both have very little time together. If you refuse now, then I will shift to another place, and we both will never be able to meet again. Please, Hikaru, you are my first and final hope for completing my dream." Hikaru was looking shocked, his eyes widened, and both were glancing at each other.
Hikaru then took a sigh and said, "Alright, let's do this." Ayumi's eyes widened with excitement, and she hugged Hikaru, who also smiled and hugged her back.
Ayumi and Hikaru were now sitting facing each other. Hikaru said, "Alright, we have just three hours till sunrise. In these three hours, we have to go far. I'm sure you must have a plan." Ayumi nodded and said, "Yes, first, all we have to do is go somewhere far and find a hotel to stay for a while. Then there is a train that will go to Tamakura at sharp 6am. We will enjoy here at the Tamakura beach first." Hikaru nodded and said, "And if you get hurt while enjoying, then I'll have to kill myself to protect you." She nodded. Hikaru added, saying, "You must know it's still very dangerous." Ayumi nodded and asked, "I have some questions." Hikaru said, "Go on." She asked, "Like if you kill yourself right now, then you will go 15 to 20 minutes back, and after going back, if you again kill yourself immediately, will you travel more 20 minutes back?" Hikaru said, "No, it's different. If I kill myself right now, I will go 15 to 20 minutes back, and then if I kill myself again just after going back, then I will come to the future, the time I killed myself first. And if I kill myself again, then I will go 20 minutes back. If I kill myself again, then I will come to the future when I killed myself first. and then i will stuck in loop" Ayumi said, "Hmm, so if you kill yourself with a dagger right now, then you will go 20 minutes back, and if you immediately kill yourself again with a gunshot, then you will travel 20 minutes ahead, the time when you killed yourself with a dagger?" Hikaru nodded and said, "And then I will be stuck in a loop." Ayumi nodded confidently and said, "No problem, I will try my best to not hurt myself." Hikaru smiled and held her cheek, saying, "Enjoy with the fullest; I promise you I won't let you die." She smiled. Both were smiling, glancing at each other.
