The video ended with someone dragging Zei out of the courtyard where his mother's body lay, bleeding out slowly, and painting the white marble floor red. The sight reminded her of her own parents, nausea climbing up her throat and before she knew what she was doing, Haven slammed the laptop shut and got off the bed.
Why would he order someone to kill people who didn't even have any relation to him? From what CIA had told her, Zei had gone straight to murder her parents after his mother died just for the sake of revenge. But now that she had seen it for herself, she was beginning to doubt everything they had told her from the minute she joined them.
The first lie was that he had killed them. There was not a single sign of him anywhere near the house even after the Sun had risen up in the sky again.
The second lie was that his mother had died days ago when it was the same exact date and time as her parent's murder.
