Sensing her gaze, Lily sighed in surrender. "Fine. We met that day when the Auction took place and he... offered me a ride back to my house since it was pouring. See? Nothing going on, at all!"
From the tone of her voice, it seemed like she wanted something to be going on between them. "He stares at you whenever you enter a room."
Lily cocked a brow. "So does Zei."

Haven coughed, looking away and slamming her lips shut. Defeat tasted horrible, especially when it was her very own best friend who bested her.
"Do you have any idea what the last test is about?" Lily asked a minute later, and Haven breathed out, shaking her head in reply.
