Sometimes I wish,
Our paths had never crossed,
So I wouldn't know the bittersweet ache,
Of knowing you, yet not having you close.
To have glimpsed the beauty,
But never felt your touch,
To have heard your voice,
But never shared moments as such.
The void between us,
A constant reminder of what's lost,
A cruel reminder of what could have been,
Leaving my heart yearning, at a cost.
But in this longing, I find strength,
To cherish the memories we made,
To hold onto the love that once bloomed,
Even if it's a love that cannot fade.
For in the tapestry of life,
Our encounters shape who we become,
And though I may wish for a different course,
I'll embrace the lessons learned, and stay undone.
