Caroline blew air after they were gone.
"I wonder when we can escape from such entitled people who were only hungry for power and money without thought about their people?" she asked.
She abruptly looked up when she felt his hand on top of her head.
"You did great in managing them. But you can leave them to me when this happens again."
"When you are finally resting? While I still can then I will manage them, I've learned from a certain someone on how to take care of them."
Gabriel chuckled before walking back to his office.
And since he was already awake, she followed after him.
"Did you put this on me?" he asked.
He raised the blanket he found draped on his shoulder when he woke up from his sleep and heard the voices of those old geezers. He can barely hear Caroline's voice, he knew then that she knew he was asleep.
And the way she kept standing guard, she truly did not wish to wake him up.
