Arriving at his apartment, Alex entered his bathroom and locked the door, he then went to his "inside".
Looking around, he could see the glass sphere with his mana, another thing was the glass with the souls that was now full.
The cup was filled 90% with red and 10% black souls, which came from the 9 imps and 1 dark bat.
However, in addition, he can now see in front of the glass a pedestal with an open book inside.
Moving closer he managed to get to where the book was, he then looked at the open page.

Other than that the page was completely blank, trying to turn the page he couldn't turn the page "it looks like it's glued"
Not even the book left the pedestal, so he thought about what to do.
"I might have to upgrade a perk or pick a new one, but since I don't have any perks, all I have left is to take the demon slayer perk." Thinking this was a good idea, Alex tapped the demon slayer perk with his finger.
Doing this, the page changed, and new words were written.

"Now it's mutations." Following the same pattern as the last page, Alex had to make a choice.
"Each has its advantages and disadvantages." Alexander really didn't know what to choose.
After some consideration, Alex decided to choose the compact muscles, for the simple fact that it was a mutation that would make him more powerful.
"The other options might be good too, however with my current information I'm not sure if it's the best choice." That's why he chose compact muscles, as this skill would make him stronger and whatever happened that would be good.
Satisfied, Alex tapped his choice with his hand, then the page turned.

At the same time that the page changed, its entire "interior" underwent changes, first the souls inside the glass turned into golden particles and entered its body.
With that he felt an abundance of energy enter his body and a pleasure like no other flooded through him.
He also felt several changes in himself, his body that had some muscles became more muscular, his energy core increased and his mana besides being completely recharged, doubled in size.
Looking at the glass orb that had increased in size and was full of mana, Alex felt a little safer.
Another thing that changed was the glass, now it had turned into a glass cylinder and was completely empty, its measurements went up to 25.
"That means I'll need 25 more souls to level up." Alex realized that he should level up, the changes he felt didn't seem small, and if each level improved him more and more, then what would happen if he was at the higher levels?
Excited, Alex looked at his attributes and pulled out of his interior.

When Alexander came back to himself, the first thing he noticed was the increase in his senses, he felt that he was able to see better even though he was in the dark.
Another thing was his body, he noticed that he had lost a good part of his fat and his muscles were more prominent.
Alexander wasn't a fat guy and even had some muscles, however, he couldn't be called defined, but now his body had become much more defined.
"Wait, now is not the time to admire my body." Returning to the reality of his situation, Alex left the bathroom and returned to the living room of his apartment.
"I wonder how strong I got." Using his attributes as a basis, Alex noticed something.
All of his stats increased by +1 due to his level up, except for his physical, which increased by +2 due to his mutation.
He believes this due to his core that doubled in size when he leveled up, this means that before his core was 1 point, however when he leveled up it increased to 2, the same applies to his physique, which has gained one level point and one point from its mutation.
"That means all my attributes were probably level 1 and when I leveled up they increased by +1." After understanding this, Alex can base it on that, the average human attribute is 1.
"So I'm three times stronger than a human?" After all, he had 3 attribute points in physique.
Leaving that aside for the time being, Alexander looked at his watch and saw it was 2:48 am, he had been fighting for some time, and he wanted something to drink.
Going to his fridge that was turned off, he drank an entire 500ml bottle of water, he was not hungry, so he didn't eat anything.
He then sat on his couch and started thinking about what to do.
"Now all that's left to see is the first floor, but the way things are going, there probably won't be anyone alive." And going outside doesn't seem like a good idea.
Looking at his phone, there was still no signal and the battery was running low, which means calling for help is out of the question.
"I hope my family is okay." Alex can't believe these monsters just invaded his neighborhood, this is probably some kind of global event.
Shaking his foot anxiously, Alexander thinks what to do, I am currently in Guiyang in Guizhou province, my parents live in Hubei province in wuhan that means they are one province away.
"If everything really went into chaos because of these monsters, then I won't be able to get there by plane." That means he would have to go by car, meaning several hours on streets full of monsters.
Remembering the 2 tall abomination he saw walking down the street, Alexander knew he would have to get stronger if he wanted to find his family.
"Haa, because China is so big." Alexander didn't always live in China, before he lived with his father in America, but then he got married again and they sort of came to live in China.
It took Alexander a long time to get used to the huge difference in culture, however, he still managed to open a small business and his life was going well.
Sighing, Alex wonders why all this was happening.
