Nina stepped inside the bathroom still thinking about everything carefully. So she was a supreme demon? The strongest among all. Talon had explained how important the demons wanted her. They need her full trust and he also told her that if she kept on refusing to help them, one day they will kill her.
She looked inside the mirror staring at her reflection. She ran her fingers through her bald head and wondered why she was bald.
The white in her eyes blurred out to complete black. Her fangs elongated and she ran her teeth through it. Her mind slowly accepted that she was demon.
She dived inside the bathtub and relaxed herself inside it.
….
The next morning, Hannah came again with cans of blood. With Nina's demon sense, she already perceived she was a human.
She sat down opposite her and opened the can of blood. In one gulp, Nina drank everything. Not one, not two, but five cans of blood.
"How long have you been working here as a maid?" Nina asked.
"For three years," she replied shortly. "You would be surprised with how things here are. All what the demons knows how to do here is feed and destroy."
"Seems like I am something I didn't even know much about." She sighed crushing the can. She looked at her hands and was surprised at how she crushed the can without holding it.
Nina couldn't help but smile and at the same time she wondered how many more powers she had.
"Not everyone is like that, Nina." Hannah assured her. "It's just that the good ones here are fewer than the evil ones."
Nina was glad to have someone like Hannah. Though she had spent only two times with Hannah and once with Talon, she could see herself building a family bond with them. While they continued discussing, she learnt from Hannah that she didn't come to work here on her own will. She was forced.
The both of them stood up after talking for a while and decided to take a walk around the house.
Nina also learned how the security there was tight. The house was painted pure white and every room requires a passcode.
After the day came to an end, Nina retired back to her room.
Early the next day, she woke up with the loud voices. Opening her eyes with a yawn, she saw the demons standing in front of her.
With inhuman speed, Nina sat down straight.
"It's time for your lessons," One of the demons spoke up.
I looked at them with confusion look before Talon stepped forward.
"Your lessons about what we discussed the other time," He muttered.
…..
Twenty minutes later, they all came inside a white room. Nina looked around wondering what would happen here. She was thinking that the demons would give her a book and pen and start jotting everything they says.
They sat her down in the middle of the room and Hernia approached her with the transparent glass box where her heart was kept. Since there would be no problem with Nina trying to escape in the future, they thought of giving back her heart before the full lessons would commerce.
Before Nina had the chance to ask what was going to happen, something hard hit against her chest and she fell down onto the ground rubbing her chest.
The pain lasted for some time and after that everything went back to normal. She looked at her chest which was covered with blood and wondered what happened to her.
"It is very important for you to learn how to handle your emotions. Never show your weakness when fighting with him because it would give him the chance to end your miserable life." Hernia explained.
"Who I'm I fighting with?" Nina raised her hand up to ask.
"The Devil. Lucifer himself." Hernia frowned.
"He hadn't done anything bad for me to fight with him." Nina's lip twitched.
"He has done so much." Hernia leaned closer and placed her two palm on Nina's forehead. She was compelling Nina to believe everything she would say.
"He was the one who killed your parents." Hernia put fake pictures of Nina's parents dying in the hands of Lucifer.
"He killed them and now you'll be next in line to be killed."
Talon frowned watching everything with anger. Since Nina was still a freshman, it would be so quick for her to believe everything the demons says.
Nina saw her parents in a black void. She watched her father being stabbed in the back by a monster. He had two burning horns in his forehead and looked frightening.
Her eyes darted to her mother who laid on the ground lifeless.
Nina emotions took over and the anger to kill the monster made her angry.
Hernia removed her hands from Nina's head and looked into her eyes.
"What should I do?" Nina asked looking at the demon.
"Lucifer is aware of your existence and he's after you," Hernia sat down.
"Why?" Nina frowned.
"That's because you're a threat to him," Hernia replied. "You will be the only one to defeat him but you're not fully aware of your powers yet. That we will work on later."
"Here." Hernia handed a book to her. "This would give you more information on Lucifer whom you must kill."
Nina took the book from Hernia and tried to open it but it was hard.
"Why is it not opening?" asked Nina.
"It requires the blood of a demon before it would open. Take." Hernia handed her a knife.
