After a strenuous struggle, Zhao Ming managed to free himself from his entanglement. "Oh, God, she possesses such incomprehensible powers and yet pretends to be frightened of me," he muttered, straightening himself. His gaze was fixated on Xuan Cheng, who lay on the ground.
"Her eyes are open, and they're still completely white," he observed as he approached her. After a brief inspection, he gently shook her. "Princess Cheng?" he called out, but she remained trapped in a vegetative state, lost in an unwanted journey through her jade eyes.
"Princess Cheng, wake up!" Panic gripped Zhao Ming as he shook her more vigorously. He cradled her in his arms and lightly slapped her face, but there was no response. Her complexion began to pale, and her lips dried up, resembling wilting lotus petals.
Zhao Ming raised his voice and said, "Princess Cheng, wake up!" But still, there was no response; her hands didn't move, nor did she blink.
