Chapter 7 - 2nd year Examination begin

After Shu's victory over Sarah, news of his remarkable feat spreads throughout the academy. His name becomes synonymous with strength and determination. However, unbeknownst to Shu and his teammates, a greater challenge looms on the horizon.

Upon hearing of Shu's victory and growing reputation, the news quickly reaches the ears of the king. However, instead of feeling pleased or impressed, the king's reaction is quite the opposite. A sense of urgency and anger takes hold of him as he realizes that Shu's growing influence could potentially disrupt his plans.

The king, consumed by a desire to maintain control and secrecy, makes a hasty decision. He determines that the operation, which was originally intended to take place at a later date, must now be executed ahead of schedule. The king believes that by carrying out the operation earlier than anticipated, he can mitigate any potential interference from Shu or anyone else who might pose a threat to his plans.

The king calls upon the shadow guards, who arrive in the blink of an eye. "Initiate the plan," the king commands.

"ROGER!" the shadow guards respond.

It's time for the second-year examination, a test of mana and aura proficiency.

Shu and his classmates gather in the field, facing the Magic Measurement Crystal and the Force Stone.

The examiner said, "Hello, second-year students. Today, we will test your power and magic potential. Here is the Magic Measurement Crystal. The brighter the crystal shines, the greater your potential to become a mage. And beside me is the Force Stone. You need to strike it with your punch to measure your current force level."

The examiner continued, "To pass the test, you need to achieve a force level of at least 100 and a minimum of Light Level 2. The Force Stone measures the power per kilogram that you can generate with your punch. The Body Tempering consists of 10 levels. Level 1 requires reaching 10-20 force, Level 2 is 21-40 force, Level 3 is 41-60 force, Level 4 is 61-80 force, and Level 5 is 81-100 force. To continue to the next year, second-year students need to reach a minimum of Level 6 in Body Tempering."

"As for the Magic Measurement Crystal, it calculates the amount of mana in your body. Level 0 represents no mana, Level 1 Light indicates a mana capacity of 1-500, Level 2 Light represents a capacity of 501-1000, and Level 3 Light indicates a capacity of 1001 mana. Mages require a mana capacity of 500 to create one circle of magic. Therefore, to pass the test, students need to be able to create at least one circle of magic. Remember, magic is more complex than martial arts."

The students proceeded to test their force levels. One by one, they hit the Force Stone, and their results were recorded. The numbers varied, with some scoring 23, 27, 80, 71, 103, and so on. Eventually, it was Wallis' turn. He clenched his hand and struck the Force Stone. To everyone's relief, his force registered as 103, just enough to pass the force test.

Next was Fedd's turn. With a powerful strike, he achieved an impressive score of 140, the highest so far. The other students were amazed by his strength. Gants followed, hitting the stone with great force, and his score came out as 176, leaving everyone in awe.

Sauri took her turn and delivered a solid punch, resulting in a force of 119. She too passed the force test. Finally, it was Shu's turn. He focused his energy and launched a lightning-fast jab at the stone. The impact was powerful, and the force measurement displayed an astonishing 211. This force level surpassed 200, signifying that Shu had reached the level 2 martial stage in force refining. The revelation left the others impressed and inspired.
