Chapter 130 - A Day of Cultivation

The following day started with a feeling of excitement, in the atmosphere. Kai got up early as the sun rose, feeling a surge of energy within him. The day held the promise of growth and new discoveries. He was eager to make the most of it.

After going through his morning routine with determination Kai headed downstairs to join his family for breakfast.

"Morning, Kai " his mother greeted him warmly her smile brightening her face. "Did you sleep well?"

Kai nodded as he sat down at the table. "Yeah."

While they shared breakfast together, Kai's mind brimmed with anticipation for what lay. He couldn't wait to delve deeper into his training with Master Orion and continue honing his skills in body cultivation.

After bidding his family farewell, Kai made his way to school. On his way, he greeted several teachers with a cheerful "Good morning," their responses adding to his growing sense of anticipation.

Upon reaching his classroom, Kai joined his friends, engaging in light-hearted banter as they awaited the start of their classes.

As the day progressed, Kai found himself immersed in various lessons, his mind occasionally wandering to the practical session with Master Orion that awaited him later.

Finally, as the school day drew to a close, Kai and his friends made their way to the Combat Department for their first practical Body Cultivation session.

Entering the spacious training room, they found Master Orion waiting for them, his demeanor serious yet welcoming.

"Today, we'll put theory into practice," Master Orion announced, his gaze sweeping over the group of eager students. "Prepare yourselves."

The students braced themselves for the challenge ahead, knowing that the physical demands of body cultivation would push them to their limits.

As they began the rigorous exercises prescribed by Master Orion, the students found themselves struggling to maintain the required stances and endure the prolonged duration of each exercise.

Despite their best efforts, some students, including Rachel, Emily, Alex, Ethan, and Leon, found themselves unable to continue, the intensity of the training proving too much for them.

However, Kai, Akane, and Jackson persisted, their determination fueling their resolve to push through the pain and fatigue.

After what felt like an eternity, Master Orion called for a break, allowing the students to catch their breath before continuing.

With a mixture of exhaustion and determination, the students resumed their training, each one pushing themselves to their limits in pursuit of mastery.

As the session came to an end, Master Orion offered words of encouragement to the weary students. "Do not be disheartened," he said. "Your efforts today have not been in vain. Each of you has shown great determination and resilience. With time and practice, you will become stronger."

With Master Orion's departure, the students collapsed onto the floor, their bodies drained but their spirits buoyed by his words.

Kai glanced to his right and saw Akane lying beside him. He initiated a conversation, acknowledging the exhaustion they both felt. "Ah... it was so tiring," Kai remarked with a sigh.

"Yeah," Akane agreed with a tired smile. "But still, Kai, you were doing quite well. It looked like you could go on for more."

Kai chuckled modestly. "Eh... not possible. If I had gone on any longer, I'd be lying dead there, you know."

Akane giggled at Kai's response. "Is that so?" she teased, her fatigue momentarily forgotten.

Akane continued the conversation, curious about Kai's plans. "So, what are you going to do? Still planning on lying here?"

Kai considered his options before responding, "I was thinking of gathering spiritual energy. It felt really beneficial during the break. I was recovering quite quickly, you see."

"Oh, so you felt that too?" Akane responded with interest, nodding in understanding. "Well, it shows that there's meaning behind what Master Orion said."

"Yeah," Kai agreed, his expression serious. "Though I thought it was going to be even more intense. That description of 'hell exercise' wasn't far off."

With their conversation winding down, Kai and Akane rose back into a sitting position. As they sat, Kai suddenly closed his eyes, a blush creeping up his cheeks.

Seeing Kai's reaction, Akane became curious. "Kai? What's wrong?" she asked, puzzled by his sudden change in demeanor.

Kai, embarrassed by the situation, quickly scanned the area to ensure no one was watching. Satisfied that they were alone, he leaned in close to Akane and whispered in her ear, "You should go to your training room or the washroom and change your outfit. It's kind of see-through, so..."

Before Kai could finish his sentence, he retreated back into his own thoughts, leaving Akane to process his words.

Akane's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she realized the state of her shirt. Quickly covering herself with her hand, she mumbled, "I'll be back in a bit..." before rushing off to change.

"Sure, no problem," Kai responded, trying to mask his own embarrassment.

As Akane hurried back to the training room, Kai's mind raced with a mix of emotions. He opened his eyes, his face reddening as he tried to stifle a laugh at the situation.

After some time, Akane returned, having changed her outfit. She informed the other girls about the need to change, and they followed suit. Akane then resumed her position beside Kai, who was deeply engrossed in his cultivation practice.

Despite the awkwardness of the earlier exchange, Akane sat beside Kai, her thoughts mirroring his own.

Uncertain of what to say, they both focused on their cultivation, the silence between them speaking volumes.

Lost in their own thoughts, Kai and Akane continued to cultivate side by side, each grappling with their feelings in the wake of their encounter.
