The school day had come to an end, and Kai found himself in the familiar surroundings of the Combat Department.
He glanced around and spotted his friends heading towards their respective Training Rooms. The early birds had already gone in, including Leon, who Kai knew would be diligently training.
With a determined stride, Kai made his way towards Leon's Training Room. He knocked on the door, and after a moment, Leon opened it.
His friend had a curious look on his face.
"Hey, Kai, you're here," Leon greeted.
"Yeah, just got in," Kai replied, his voice tinged with a mix of anticipation and anxiety. "I need your help with something."
Leon raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Hm? Go on, what do you need?"
Kai launched into an explanation, divulging the whole truth. He told Leon about his plan to visit Naimisha Forest to address the issues with his cultivation art. Kai had managed to convince his parents with a fabricated story about a trip with Leon, but he needed Leon's assistance for the ruse to work.
Leon paid attention, his expression transitioning from curiosity to comprehension. "Wow you've really landed yourself in a predicament " he commented with a smile.
Kai chuckled nervously. "Haha, yeah.... I'll owe you a favor."
Leon agreed to assist. Couldn't resist sharing some advice. "Just remember it's not an idea to deceive your family. They're just worried, about you."
Kai nodded, expressing gratitude for the advice. "I understand that. You know how overprotective they can be, especially my mom. If I told them the truth they'd either forbid me from going. Insist on coming which could put us all at risk."
Leon understood the dilemma. Let out a sigh. "Phew~~ Alright then I'll help you out. Is there anything you need?"
Kai shook his head. "No, nothing else. Thanks."
Leon playfully furrowed his brows. "Why the need for gratitude between friends?"
"Yeah, you're right," Kai agreed, offering a sheepish smile. "But, man, that whole conversation felt a bit cringy."
Leon chuckled. "Tell me about it. I had shivers running down my spine."
Their laughter broke the tension, and Leon returned to his Training Room to continue his exercises.
Meanwhile, Kai left for his own training session, this time ensuring not to push himself too hard.
After a productive training session, the school day came to an end, and students started emerging from their Training Rooms.
Ethan approached Kai, a concerned expression on his face. "Hey, Kai, you didn't overdo your physical training today, did you?"
Kai reassured him with a grin. "Nah, yesterday was just a one-time thing."
They engaged in a casual conversation, not knowing Kai's secret travel plans.
As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, it was time to depart. Kai approached Leon, who wished him a safe journey and a prompt return.

Finally, Kai stepped out of the school, pulled out his phone, and double-checked the route to Naimisha Forest.
