Ren had no reply to Luke's question, but he knew one thing for sure: Luke was not going to let him live. Having killed Luke's family members, Ren knew he would be entirely obliterated, and it wouldn't end there. The entire family would likely be destroyed.
And for that, the person seeking revenge must be powerful, and Luke definitely was.

Why would anyone mess with someone so strong? How could his family be this foolish?

However, Ren remained mum, promising himself not to answer.
