After wondering for a while he came across a nest of Hercules beetles. They all were size of a man's palm, it was quite rare to see Hercules beetles working in a group. Even though the system had informed him that he had been reincarnated on planet earth, his home planet, he felt that the planet earth had changed ever since he died. 'Dear system how much time have on this planet since I died?' Su Ming asked the system hoping for an answer but the reply made him quite angry
'100 evolution points will be required for answer' the system replied, demanding 100 evolution points just for an one word answer maybe to or three, it surely outrageous for the system to charge so much evolution points.
' You greedy system you are demanding twice as much of evolution points required to evolve….sigh…..let it be, first priority for me is to evolve.' Su Ming exclaimed in a voice full of determination.
He was now waiting for the right moment to attack at the group of these beetles. According to the estimation he made there were at least fifty to seventy beetles in the nest, watching how they were organized one could conclude that they were led by something more power full than them. Su Ming waited patiently for one of the beetles to go stray, and finally after the waiting for ten minutes a relatively big beetles headed in a different direction straight towards him. Su Ming was prepared, he immediately readied himself for an attack. Just as the beetle went past him he striked biting the on its back and using his tail to slam at its face, the face instantly went splat. It was an instant kill, Su Ming happy with himself started devouring his prey. The message from the system left him shocked after he devoured the beetle. 'Mutated Hercules beetle devoured + 15 evolution points.'
"What the hell....so the other creatures of this planet have started to go under mutation. No wonder these beetles look different." Su Ming had now understood and was contemplating that if there were more mutated beetles it would benefit him a lot when a sudden realization struck him. What if all the creatures had started mutating, with this thought other thoughts started to flood in his mind, Are only animals mutating or human are also mutating, if they are mutating what kind of mutation they are going through. All of these thoughts made him curious but he knew that if he asked the greedy system it will ask for evolution points. thus he only had two ways when was that together enough evolution points to get an answer from the system or to wait until he found it himself.
As this commotion was going on in his head he noticed that this time a group of four beetles were coming his way. They were not as large as the previous one but the four of them what make it sufficient for him to evolve and prove whether the system it's broken or just greedy. He repeated the exact same method he used to kill the previous beetle and surprisingly it worked on all four of them. He had used his tail to slam at the two front beetles but he never thought that the both beetles would instantly die. As the two beetles were dead It was now easy for him to deal with the rest. After consuming the four Beetles He had gained 20 evolution points which was 5 evolution points per beetle, the average points were not bad in the eyes of Su Ming. He now only needed 15 evolution points to finally undergo another evolution.
It was as if his luck was insane that he saw that this time a pair of mutated Hercules beetles were headed towards him. He knew that this was going to be a tough fight as there were two mutated Hercules beetles coming this time but if he timed his attack right it will be as easy as piece of cake. Su Ming used the same trick again on the unaware beetle. The trick worked and he was able to kill one of them, now the problem was to deal with the other one. Su Ming knew that it was going to be a tough fight, as from the looks of it the remaining beetle looked like a tough nut to crack. The battle began, Su Ming started by circling the beetle trying to find an opening and he was given a chance as the tried to attack at his tail. Not wasting the time he took the chance and striked, biting the on its back. The beetle was taken by surprise as it had under estimated Su Ming. It tried its best to get rid of the snake that was biting it but to no avail, it's grip only got stronger and stronger around its body. It finally stopped resisting as Su Ming delivered the final blow on its face killing it. Now Su Ming had enough evolution points to evolve.
The evolution began, it was just like the previous one soothing and relaxing just like some one was messaging him. The evolution went on for about ten minutes. Su Ming could feel that he had grown a lot after the evolution in order to confirm he called out for the system's status screen.

Well I think that it's time for an attack on these Hercules beetles and to gain enough evolution points to evolve." Su Ming was quite excited to evolve once again. He assumed that now he is a meter long he would be easily able to hunt down the beetles but Su Ming had forgotten about the number of the beetles in the nest. Su Ming was confidently slithered towards the nest of the beetles taking them as his prey. At first he was easily devouring the beetles that could fit in his mouth and of course, he killed them before he ate them just with in minutes he had already killed about 15 of the beetles and devoured 7 of them gaining 35 evolution points. Seeing that their territory is under attack and they were no match in front of the snake they retreated in there nest. Su Ming knew that if he was to enter the nest he would surely die. Thus he just ate the beetles that he had killed during the fight gaining a total of 85 points enough for an another evolution but it was when about four big mutated Hercules beetles coming out of the nest and the amazing part was that they were bigger than any Of the beetles he had fought. Even though he was confident that he could defeat them but he knew for a fact that it's going to be life and death battle.
