Grace was already bandaging the shattered wrist. She was leaving instructions to Melba about taking care of it. After all, the priestess was now the caretaker of the bride. Then Grace looked up to find the bride staring at his arm that would be put in a sling.
“You don’t have to feel so bad, Divine Bride. A few weeks should be good enough to heal your arm. You might even get Lasair to shorten that time for you.” The chief doctor packed the kit for the bandages. “I’ll get someone to hand the sling to you. Watch how she ties carefully, Priestess. You would have to tie it again every morning.
“It’ll be best for you to sleep around the priestess, too, so he won’t end up sleeping on it.” The doctor got up from her seat. She then smoothed her coat. “Your concussion would need to sit for a few days before you can wash your hair again. I hope you didn’t mind the bald spot for a few weeks, too. Whatever hit you gave you stitches.”
