The king of the Ataitis kingdom, Robert Althan, was walking with his wife, Helena Althan. They were both wandering through the garden when a guard informed them of the incident involving their son.
"Your Majesty, the prince has been kidnapped while on his way to Duke Sandro's humble abode," the guard whispered fearfully.
"What exactly did you say?" While unsheathing his blade and bringing it to the guard's throat, Robert said. "My one and only competent heir was abducted."
Helena was having a panic attack as Robert threatened the guard. When Robert saw this, he began calling for the royal Physician. While Helena lay in bed, feverish, Robert ordered all of his soldiers to find his son at any cost. Robert received the impression that the kidnapping was a little too convenient for Kai.
"Kai, please don't tell me you did this on purpose," Robert worriedly remarked to no one in particular. "Don't let your mother die as a result of your stubbornness."

Kai has been gone from the kingdom for exactly four years. In Kai's absence, Robert, who was sitting beside his wife's bed, believed it was time to choose a new heir. He was thinking about the other six kids. Alice, Anne, and Eleanor were the three girls. Rae and the two twins Alaric and Elric were the three lads. Even though Alice was the eldest, wisest, and finest warrior of the group, he couldn't chose her because of her gender. He didn't even consider the other girls, instead focusing on the twins and Rae. The twins fabricated each other's weaknesses. With his strategic ability, Alaric, the wisest, had the potential to become a commander of a large army. With his combat ability, Elric might easily become one of the top swordsmen. He simply wished they shared a body since he couldn't have two rulers.
Finally, Rae, the eldest of the boys, was an ordinary warrior with an average brain. He didn't want the king to be mediocre in any way. Kai was the only person he desired since he was perfect at everything. In a single year, he grew to be as powerful as the highest-ranking knights. Kai's intelligence was likewise higher than Robert's. Kai would always be the one advising him on how to negotiate and manage battles. Robert desired the perfect successor to lead this kingdom to grandeur, but he was disappointed when he learned Kai had escaped. He had to decide whether he wanted the twins or Rae to lead the kingdom.
"Oh my dear wife, please wake up and help me during this difficult time," Robert begged with every fiber of his being.
"My king, we have word that we have apprehended the crown prince in one of our villages," the soldier remarked, panting.
"What, let us go and capture him right away," Robert exclaimed loudly.
Kai was sleeping when he heard someone enter and didn't move an inch. He had a malicious smirk on his face because he knew who was here to catch him. Kai was placed in the carriage in which his father was riding, and they rode back to the kingdom. Kai pretended to sleep in order to entirely eliminate this disease like family.
Kai awoke in his old bedroom to find himself surrounded by eight people. He groaned in pain when he felt someone jump on top of him.
"Get off of me, you filthy wench," Kai demanded angrily. Kai felt a sting on his cheek as he was slapped by what appears to be his mother.
He stood up and began heading out until he was stopped by two knights. He killed them quickly and walked through the closed doors. Robert was astounded that he couldn't see what Kai had done to those high-ranking knights.
Kai left and was on his way to his former resting place till his assignment began. His siblings accompanied him.
"Stop being annoyances by following me," Kai remarked coldly.
They all disregarded him and assured him that they would always be by his side. They even tried to have him apologize to his mother. Kai didn't even give them a second glance before disappearing in front of them.
"Where did he go?" The twins inquired in unison. They all shrugged, thinking about how powerful Kai had grown.
Kai was strolling around the alleys of Ataitis. He was thinking about how he could get rid of this bothersome family. He proceeded to the nearest tavern in search of potential partners for his takeover. Everyone in the pub knelt as he entered to express their devotion to Kai. He went there and told everyone about his plan.
"What do you want to do, commit treason?" A horrified knight said. "Even the crown prince can be executed for considering treason."
Everyone in the bar was astonished by what the man said and assumed he was correct. "I'll give you a chance to stand with me or die," Kai growled threateningly. While everyone was laughing at Kai's threat, only two were aware of his full power.
"Look, prince, you may believe you are powerful, but you must recognize your superior." In a cocky tone, a high-ranking knight said. Everyone laughed until his head hit the ground as soon as he uttered that. Kai's right hand was instantly covered in blood, as they all witnessed.
"My prince, please spare these fools for doubting your ability," the bartender begged.
"All right, I'll spare you from my wrath," Kai answered coldly. Just as the bartender was feeling relieved, he became chilled. He saw everyone dead with their heads separated in a split second.
"My prince, you said you'd spare us," the bartender replied, horrified.
"I did not say that; what I said was that I would spare you and only you," Kai responded with a sinister grin. "They'll be a permanent part of my army now," Kai replied, utilizing magic.
He absorbed all of the corpses in the bar and began to create. He will be able to construct not just the most loyal but also the most powerful soldiers without any disadvantages. As soon as he finished, four figures emerged from his shadow.
"Will we be getting newbies in the king's guard, my king?" remarked the first shadow with a buff layout.
"No, stop bothering our king, you meat head," said a smaller figure with a child's layout.
"Quiet the two of you, our king has had enough of your bickering," remarked a figure with wings to the bickering duo.
"Quiet all of you before I erase you from existence," Kai threatened. As Kai addressed the final figure, everyone became silent. "Echo, what do you think about destroying this pitiful kingdom?"
"All is right, when you are leading my king," Echo stated firmly. "We have no right to refuse any command you issue us, my king."
"So, have you learned anything, Blaze, Drake, and Ezra?" Kai inquired, his gaze fixed on the trio.
"Yes, my king, we will follow you until the end," chanted Blaze, the big individual.
"I apologize for my outburst, my king, and I will not disappoint you again," the child-like Ezra remarked.
"We'll never be an annoyance to you, my king, I swear to you until the end of my time," replied Drake, the winged fellow.
"What is your given name?" Kai inquired of the bartender.
"My name is Zain," said the newly identified bartender.
"Okay, Zain, do you wish to join me or my legion of death?"
"No, my prin- my king, I wish to join you." Zain expressed his fear.
"Do not hide your true intentions from me, or you will perish," Kai stated, staring down at Zain.
"Of course, my king, I wish to see this world burn by your side," Zain responded, his expression appearing menacing.
"We will destroy this world with no survivors," Kai laughed menacingly. "I will annihilate my past and look forward to a destructive future."
