Watching his son waving his hands around with the Qi following along, Xuan Moon was shocked. 'What the...what happened there?' The veteran cultivator thought to himself in shock. He then calmed his son down and got him to sit once again for him.
Testing his hypothesis, Xuan Moon sent a strand of pure white Qi into Jin before having it interact with the black shard. In a few seconds the Qi once again turned grey before his perception was once again shut off.
"Father it seems my Qi has increased. Have I become a cultivator now?" Jin asked excitedly as Xuan Moon could only look at his son in disbelief. Going through the various possibilities he soon came to a shocking conclusion.
'Could that shard not only be making my Qi his own, but also expediting the process of Xuan Qi conversion?' Xuan Moon deliberated before motioning at Jin to start meditating once again. "This time try and cultivate Qi yourself." His voice sounded in his son's ear.
Hearing this Jin's breathing grew more and more rhythmic and in but a minute, a small strand of whitish Qi entered his meridians. Circulating it throughout his body, the strand of Qi began to become smaller, its colour turning darker and darker, before eventually Jin directed it towards his dantian.
Upon doing so the Qi settled within before touching the black shard, in but a moment the previously light grey Qi strand rapidly turned black once again. Soon after another strand entered Jin's meridians and the same process repeated.
Witnessing all this Xuan Moon soon drew his perception out and moved away from his son. It seemed as though Jin had entered a state of continuous cultivation of sorts and Xuan Moon didn't want to disturb him. 'My son truly is an oddity.' He sighed before waiting for his son to finish his cultivation.
Time ticked by slowly but surely, and with each passing minute Jin's cultivation speed only increased. 'At the rate he's going he might....no that's impossible.' Xuan Moon shook his head as Jin inhaled swaths of Qi.
Soon 3 hours had passed and Jin opened his eyes exhaling a long breathe of white mist. "Father I've finished cultivating for the day. My dantian is filled and I suspect if I continue cultivating I'll blow up." Jin said patting his belly before making a rather exaggerated explosion motion.
Xuan Moon could barely contain his amazement. Shaking his head, he then gave his son a thumbs up. "All right then. Do you have any questions before we leave?" Xuan Moon asked him. Hearing this the little boy began to think, he did actually have a lot of questions.
"Father, why did my Qi turn black, what cultivation level am I at, or am I really a cultivator an-........" Jin blabbed on for about a minute or so. Fortunately the answers were rather simple, so once he finished Xuan Moon answered swiftly.
"So, as you should know from reading the Black Moon technique, your Qi should naturally turn black over time after the initial gathering, eventually turning into Xuan Qi. This is our family's special trait and you'll learn more about it as you get older. You're a special case though, as it seems the black shard expedited this process. Does this make sense?"
Jin simply nodded his head giving his dad the go ahead to continue. "All right then. Onto your cultivation, if you really did fill your dantian then my son, you're not only officially a cultivator, but you're already at the Peak of the 1st Layer of Qi Gathering." He declared excitedly before lifting the boy up. "So lets go celebrate with your mother!"

A few days later in the Elder Hall, Xuan Moon and the Elders were gathered once again, this time to discuss much happier news. "Has little Xuan Jin really reached the Peak of the 1st Layer?" One of the Elders asked in disbelief.
The rest of the Elders were also shocked. After all they knew Xuan Jin's 5th birthday was merely a few days prior, they had even sent gifts. The only reason they didn't visit was that they knew Xuan Moon enjoyed his privacy and he didn't wish to throw a big celebration.
"Indeed he has. If it wasn't already apparent this is extremely confidential information, its likely my son is the hope of our Sect. Because of this the Black Blade Pavilion's main goal right now is to buy time, and delay any possible war or conflict between us and the Jade Sword Sect." He declared, his gaze subconsciously drifting towards three vacant chairs.
Likewise the other Elders couldn't help but glance at those vacant seat. Four years ago, despite the Sect Master's repeated warnings. Elder Xiao gathered four other Elders and besieged the Immortal Warrior Wu.
What ensued was a fierce battle and then a rapid chase into the 10,000 Beast Forest. Three Elders chased Wu into the depths while two stayed back to guard the periphery, waiting there for a total of 6 months. Unfortunately the Elders never returned, while Wu reappeared unharmed only a year later.
Naturally they didn't have much choice now. They either submitted to the Jade Sword Sect, paid a large price to the Tomb of the Wailing Ghoul, or had faith in the Young Sect Master. Previously the latter option, didn't seem like much of an option in reality. But with the dramatic talent the young boy now displayed, it was not only just an option but their best bet.
"So why have you really gathered us here today." One of the older Elders spoke up.
"Naturally, its because I wish to use all the Sect's resources to enhance my son's cultivation. And for that I need at least half of you to agree." Xuan Moon explained.
"When you say all...."
"I mean everything." Xuan Moon reiterated. This caused the Elders to raise a brow, and they begun deliberating amongst themselves. Fortunately they soon came to a conclusion.
"Its fine with me."
"I second that."
"Regardless we're at a dead end, I approve."
One by one the Elders fell in line much to Xuan Moon delight. In reality even if they were against it, he'd have found a way anyway, but having their agreement was not only simpler but saved him a lot of time.
"All right then, unless any of you have something else to bring up this meeting is over."
