I had decided to take a hike through the woods, to see if I could find some clues to catching those wretched cultists when I came across the girl.

I stood up angrily and saw the bastard tending to the girl, meaning they were together.

GENERAL POV
Damian looked Eilishia over, she was in bad shape, her HP had dropped below 10% and her mana was completely bottomed out.
He threw her a health potion and she caught and drank it, she was currently too weak to talk so she just lay down and slowly recovered.
Seeing this Craig raged,
"Is she underestimating me?! After making me enter this wretched form, she just lies down!"
Damian replied,
"It's because I am here, so who are you? You seem to have a problem with us"
"I am a member of the task force organized by the kingdom to take your cult down, are you by any chance the leader?"
"Yes, I am"
Hearing this, Craig grinned,
"It seems my job is done"
Damian retorted,
"You seem to have some illusion about catching, see dude, I can see your level and honestly you don't match up to me, I am already a higher level than you, and I can still jump levels if need be"
Craig seemed offended,
"Fine, let's see if I can take you in or not"
Saying this Craig rushed toward Damian, with his transformation, his all-around stats had drastically increased and he punched Damian.
Damian slightly bent backward to dodge it, just as he dodged it he caught a glint by his left.
He completely jumped back and dodged the sword that was aiming to dissect him.
"So you are somewhat good, I wonder how long you can last though"
Craig then unleashed a flurry of strikes at Damian, Damian slithered through all of them like a snake, none touched him.
Craig stopped his strikes and instead started releasing slashes made of mana toward Damian.
The slashes were dense and left no room for dodging, hence Damian made an X in front of him and a black substance covered his hands.
The slashes poured on him and thick dust rose obscuring Craig's vision, he was panting as he looked toward where Damian was standing.
He was sure that Damian was at least injured by that attack, however, the clearing dust proved him wrong.
The only thing damaged on Damian's body was his clothes, they were torn up from the slashes, however, the black substance had protected him from the attack, that was a new skill Damian had unlocked after his God blood had reached 30% unlocked.
All around Damian, the ground was ripped up by the slashes, and the trees were uprooted, however, the man himself was unhurt.
Craig was shocked by this, but he didn't let it show on his face as he was a veteran and was experienced in combat.
Craig's specialty was physical attacks, and that had no effect on Damian, so he decided to switch up his tactics.
Craig brought out a scroll,
"This is a scroll containing a forbidden spell, I got it after almost dying in a dragon's lair, this was also where I got my skill 'Draconic Conversion'"
"So why are you telling me this?"
Damian asked,
"Because I am about to use it on you"
Craig immediately opened the scroll,
Damian felt a wave of intense mana wash over him as a feeling of discomfort crawled across his skin.

Craig called out as the scroll burned up.
A ray of fire shot out towards Damian, who found he couldn't move or teleport out of the way.
He knew that if he took on the attack head-on, even with his protective cover on he will still be severely injured.
So he summoned his armor while simultaneously putting up a barrier in front of him.
The fire washed over him, going on to destroy the forest behind him for miles, only stopping after going halfway through a mountain.
After some seconds, the fire died down and Damian's figure gradually became clear.
"Haha I wanted to originally bring you in alive, but you left me no choice, I am sure the girl will do just fine though"
As he turned aside to carry Eilishia, Damian spoke up.
"Did you think such an attack will kill me? Sure it was strong, but far too weak to kill me"
Craig was shocked and turned around sharply like a ghost was talking to him, after all that was what he thought Damian will currently be.
"How are you still alive?! That was a forbidden class spell and it did no damage?! Are you even human?!"
"Sure I am human"
Damian replied.
"Now it is time for you to get beaten up"
Damian's figure was completely clear at this moment, he was wearing a black robe with a hood on, he had boots on and a sword attached to his waist.
At this moment he slowly unsheated his sword and walked toward Craig.
Craig's transformation had also timed out at this point, however, he didn't seem to register that fact as he was still shocked that Damian had survived the attack.
Craig, however, didn't lose hope as he brought out his sword and set it before himself in a standard sword fighting stance.
He rushed towards Damian at high speeds, however, Damian flicked his sword and cut through Craig's like butter.
Craig was shocked as he slowly stepped back.
"See Craig? In our fight, the only skill I used against you was my protective skill, and additionally I didn't fight back, probably leading you think I couldn't fight back, well you were wrong"
Craig kneeled on the ground in despair, he just couldn't make out the existence of the man in front of him.
Finally he smiled and got up, he then brought out a dagger, he set it in front of him in a fighting stance.
"I see, so you are not going to give up till the end, fine, in respect I will use my strongest move"
Craig didn't reply and only rushed toward Damian, Damian stretched out his hand while saying,
'Hakai'.
