I waved my hands at Lucas wishing him a good bye. The day went not as I expected. I wondered who that girl from earlier was. What is her relationship with Lucas? Why was she pestering Lucas? Who is she?
Thoughts ran through my mind as I went to my hostel room. I opened the door to my room to meet an expectant Carrie. It was like she watched me with Lucas from the window. She looked at me with her big brown eyes waiting for a story from me.
I sighed heavily removing my sneakers. I bounced on my bed in frustration. I lay on my back, looking at the white ceiling. Carrie sat on my bed and shook me a little.
"Common, tell me. How was it? Why did end so fast? Did anything happen? Where did you guys go to?" She asked me.
"With all the questions you've just asked, how do you expect me to answer?" I said shifting my gaze to her. She pursed her lips.
"Okay. Tell me what happened,"
"Well, he took me to a coffee shop close to the school. It started well until a random lady came to ruin it."
"Really? What did she do?" Carrie asked curious.
"She pestered Lucas and asked why he was with me," Carrie laughed. I gazed at her with a deadly stare.
"I guess you've put yourself into a dilemma,"
"What do you mean?"
"Don't you know about Lucas's ex-girlfriend?"
"No," I said sitting down properly on my bed.
"If I am correct, she has brown hair with hazel eye color and she is about 5 feet 5 tall?" She asked. I was amazed at how she could describe the lady well.
"Yeah... How did you know?"
"Girl... That girl is like a fly. She follows Lucas around and is quite popular also." Carrie said. "You know, both of them had a bad breakup. She never gives Lucas breathing space, up to now."
"Wow... That is toxic,"
"Speaking about toxicity, what the girl has done, can not be categorized as toxic anymore," I thought to myself a bit, trying to process all that Carrie had said.
"Don't bother yourself with her," Carrie said getting off my bed. "Ooh, what did you buy for me?"
"Nothing, I could not buy anything," I said getting off my thoughts.
"You owe me one, remember that," Carrie said dramatically leaving to her bed. I laughed her off.
I don't up to take a shower before changing into my pajamas. While doing that, my mind could not stop thinking about the incident that happened earlier and what Carrie said. I carried these thoughts to bed.

I searched around the school campus, for Lucas. I wanted to thank him for the day the other day, even if it did not go well because of his ex.
I spotted him from afar. Happily, I went to meet him but as I got closer, I noticed him with his ex. I stopped and then got close to them as much as I could, to be able to hear them but made sure I could not be seen by them.
I eavesdropped on what they were discussing. It was evident that Lucas was uncomfortable and annoyed.
"...were you with her? Who is she? Why will you go out with her?"
"And why can't I go out with her," Lucas said with hints of annoyance in his tone "I am not subjected to you Amy. Don't tell me what to do."
"Don't you know what you are doing to me?"
"No, I don't, and I don't want to know, can you just leave me alone?"
"Please don't do this to me," Amy said crying.
"Stop with the crocodile tears. It does not move me," With that he left. I quietly throw my fist in the air. It serves her right. I mumbled to myself. Amy cleaned her tears and walked away.
"So it was crocodile tears?" I said to myself. "She must be a good actress"
I ran after Lucas to catch up with him. I called his name to get his attention.
"Hey," I said panting after meeting up with him.
"Hey? What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I wanted to thank you for yesterday... Even if it did not end up well" He chuckled.
"You don't have to, instead I should be apologizing about what happened. You might have been scared and worried"
"Yes, I was"
"I am sorry for that. She is my ex and she wouldn't leave me,"
