With Irina's talk with Michael concluded and her decision made, she and Rias left Michael and made their way to the resting area.
When Abaddon noticed Rias and Irina approaching, he told Xenovia, "Talk to Irina. Stop avoiding her, it will only get more and more difficult for you otherwise." He then allowed her to stand up before vacating the seat, "I'll go talk to Michael about something."
Leaving Xenovia to decide whether she wanted to talk to Irina or not, Abaddon approached Michael. The poor angel already had a wry expression on his face when he noticed Abaddon approaching him.
"Michael," Abaddon said with a wide smile, "How've you been?" He asked as if Michael was a long-lost friend or something.
"You are here for a purpose, Young Abaddon," Michael said, "Please tell me and I shall do my best to satisfy it."
"You're no fun," Abaddon said with a chuckle, "You should try playing along every once in a while."
"Some other time, maybe," Michael said, looking at the destroyed surroundings that were slowly being repaired by the combined efforts of Grayfia and Serafall.
"Well …" Abaddon's gaze momentarily went to Sirzechs and Azazel who were talking about something amongst themselves. He turned back to Michael, "Do you remember that favor that you were supposed to pay me?"
"I do," Michael nodded, "Again, I do apologize for my previous actions, but I had to at least try. But I have since come to terms with the situation."
"That's nice," Abaddon smiled, "Because I'm not letting go of the Boosted Gear for a very long and healthy life."
"It is a pity for the possible human hosts that the Boosted Gear could have during this period," Michael said, "But for the sake of peace among the three factions, some concessions can be made."
"Speaking of concessions," Abaddon's gaze traveled to Gabriel, free of any lust as he gave her a harmless smile, "I was thinking of having a representative of the Angels staying behind in Kuoh. Since you're too busy, I thought that Miss Gabriel would genuinely enjoy her time here." The blonde angel with lustrous skin and a holy aura all around her body smiled back at Abaddon with gentle eyes. Even with the gold armor that she had donned, the woman's amazing curves were difficult to hide.
Michael understood exactly what Abaddon was playing at and didn't like the implications one bit. The devil wanted Gabriel, plain and simple. Even if Michael owed Abaddon, this was not something that he could agree to, "Abaddon, Gabriel has many duties that she needs to attend to in heaven," He refused, "It would be very difficult to send her here as a representative."
"What are you talking about?" Abaddon said, "I'm sure that Miss Gabriel would love a little vacation from her immense workload. I can show her the sights of Kuoh City and she can live in my house with the others. It would be a blast."
"A vacation you say?" Gabriel looked at Abaddon with an innocent expression of curiosity, "I have been very busy lately."
Michael's expression darkened at Abaddon's blatant attempt to steal one of Heaven's Seraphs, "I apologize, young Abaddon. But that isn't a possibility," He refused, "You can ask for something as a favor."
He sighed, "Fine, I can understand," Abaddon said with a disappointed tone, "I guess I'll ask for something else." Michael thought that Abaddon would take some time to think of another request, but his following words came very quickly, "I remember that Heaven has a very nice collection of Holy Swords, right?"
"Yes, we do," Michael nodded, feeling a foreboding feeling about Abaddon's next request.
"How about you give me Ascalon, The Dragon Slayer?" He asked, "I'm sure that Vali is going to be annoying me regularly from now on. It would be a nice sword to take care of him and deter him."
Michael let out a tired sigh as he understood what Abaddon had just done. He had first asked for Gabriel as compensation, which Michael obviously refused without a second thought. With his second request, he asked for something that would significantly bolster his power. That was troublesome for Michael. Heaven didn't lack in Holy Swords and could easily part with one or two of them, but giving Abaddon Ascalon would bolster his power by a significant margin, and that was not something that Michael wanted.
Sadly, Michael had already refused Abaddon's initial request. And refusing this request would come off as insincere. He knew that Sirzechs and Azazel were observing him, which meant that he had to be fair.
With another tired sigh, Michael nodded, "I understand, Young Abaddon. Your request shall be granted by the end of the day."
"Awesome," Abaddon said, "Thanks." He then turned to look at Gabriel, "If you ever decide to take a vacation, definitely stop by Kuoh. I'll take you out for an experience of a lifetime."
"I look forward to it!" Gabriel had no idea of the implication of Abaddon's words and smiled happily. She waved at him as he turned around and left.
Michael, seeing his sister's reaction, felt that things were going to be very troublesome when it came to this young Devil.
…
"Who attacked your home?" After finishing the talks with Michael and Azazel, Sirzechs pulled Abaddon to the side and asked. He had refrained from talking about it in front of everyone since he'd realized that Abaddon was keeping a cap on everything, "I almost had to bend over backward to convince Azazel to let go of the situation. It better be worth my effort to have blocked them from knowing."
"My home was attacked by two Longinus-wielders, humans," Abaddon said.
"Khaos Brigade?" Sirzechs asked.
"Not sure," Abaddon said, "But they are at least one of the major factions of the Khaos Brigade that consists solely of humans and strong Sacred Gear wielders."
"I see," Sirzechs nodded, "And why did they attack your home? I refuse to believe that they would send two Longinus wielders just to capture Koneko and Gasper. Even with Gasper's Forbidden Balor View, they shouldn't need two Longinus wielders for him."
"About that," Abaddon thought for a moment, "I kidnapped a little girl. That little girl is extremely important to them"
Sirzechs looked at him blankly for a few seconds. He then seemed to realize something, "You are serious," He said.
"Of course," Abaddon said, "The identity of that little girl is just that important to them."
"Ophis," Sirzechs didn't take long to realize what Abaddon was referring to, "The only reason for them to go so far is if their sponsor was the one who disappeared. That's why Katarea didn't possess the snake."
"Exactly," Abaddon nodded, "The girls aren't yet aware of her identity, but it won't be long before they find out."
"So they actually think that you kidnapped a little girl?" Sirzechs laughed a little.
"More like she's a distant relative of mine named Ophie," He said, "But yeah, the suspicions are there."
"You know," Sirzechs looked like he'd just thought of something amusing, "Ophis may look like a cute girl now, but that Dragon God used to be an old man just a few years back."
"Do you not have anything else to talk about?" Abaddon said with a dark expression that made Sirzechs laugh.
He then got a serious expression on his face again, "Do you need me to assign some protection to your house?" He asked Abaddon, "You won't always be there to keep things safe."
"Well, the protections were able to hold against two Longinus wielders for at least a couple of minutes, so there has to be some merit to the builders of my house." Abaddon said, "But I would rather set up a true impenetrable fortress for myself."
"What do you need?" Sirzechs asked him.
"Help me locate the wielder of Innovate Clear," Abaddon said as Sirzechs raised his brow.
"Michael will come after you, Abaddon," Sirzechs said, "I could hold him back when it came to the Boosted Gear since the original wielder, after being reincarnated as a devil, would also be in the same position as you. If you mess with the system further, he will go to war for the Longinus Gears. If God's final legacy, his system is messed with, Michael will not tolerate it."
"I know, I don't want a war either," Abaddon said, "I'm just going to change the wielder to one of the members of my peerage if I can get it. I don't plan to take it for myself."
"If you start a war with Heaven," Sirzechs said, "The loss of both the Devils and the Angels will be on your head."
"I won't let it get to that," Abaddon said, "Trust me."
"Fine," Sirzechs said, "I will talk to my contacts and have them keep an eye out for the wielder of Innovate Clear."
As Sirzechs turned around and walked to his wife, Abaddon had a thoughtful expression on his face, 'It's good I didn't tell him about that Leonardo kid with Annihilation Maker …' Sirzechs' warning had made Abaddon realize that he was indeed on thin ice with heaven. While a war wouldn't personally cause him too much trouble, he would be the catalyst for another war if he messed around too much.
'I'll keep him in stasis for a while. I will then look for a valid reason to give his gear to one of the girls …' Abaddon thought to himself, 'Now who would be the best for it?' His thoughts strayed from their original direction, 'It would be best to have someone with an immense energy reserve. Kokeko would be the ideal candidate, but with Rias' growth level, Koneko's power will horribly stagnate if I give her the gear …'
"What are you thinking about?" Rias came up beside Abaddon and hugged his arm.
"Nothing much," Abaddon felt comforted as his arm was stuck between the soft valley of Rias' breasts, "Is everyone healed up?" He asked while moving his hand a little bit forward. The action pushed it under Rias' skirt as the back of his hand directly rested on the cloth of her panties.
A light blush appeared on Rias' cheeks as she said to him, "We're ready to go home, now," She then asked him, "What were you talking to my brother about?"
"I was telling him about how I was going to spend a month destroying his sister's slutty pussy tomorrow." His words made Rias choke as she pouted and punched his arm in protest.
