Jaden had spent the night in school, since he couldn't go home because the fact that he didn't have total control of his body, and the fear of Arcanis popping out at anytime was the reason Miss Thompson had taken him to the school infirmary where she could watch him.
After he was treated, the doctor had briefed them about his condition. Arcanis possession had taken a serious toll on his body, causing him to break down. If he had spent any more time in possession, Jaden would have died. But it seemed that Arcanis was aware of this, which was why he didn't go any further in the battle.
