Chapter 26 - CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

Eric arrived home to his wife, Aurora, who lovingly held their son Charles in her arms as she greeted him. Concern etched on her face, she inquired, "How was work today, dear?"

Eric let out a weary sigh, his fatigue apparent. "Work was as usual, filled with its usual stresses and demands," he replied, his voice carrying the weight of the day's events. Aurora's eyes then shifted to a more pressing matter. "And how is my brother? Is he doing well?" she asked with genuine concern.

A mixture of frustration and disbelief clouded Eric's expression as he relayed the shocking news he had learned from Jack earlier. "Well, if you consider being legally married to someone named Gabriella a 'good thing,' then yes, Christopher seems to be fine," he responded, his words laced with a hint of sarcasm.

Aurora's confusion was palpable as she struggled to comprehend the situation. Sensing her bewilderment, Eric proceeded to explain the unfolding events. He recounted how Jack had revealed that Christopher had asked Patrick, Chelsea's brother, to prepare a marriage contract for him and Gabriella. This revelation had infuriated Chelsea, leading her to confront Christopher about his actions.

Aurora listened intently, absorbing the details of the situation. Her brow furrowed as she contemplated the mystery surrounding Gabriella and the timing of Christopher's actions. She continued to inquire, her curiosity piqued. ''When was this? Do you have any idea who this Gabriella is?

Eric signed, his mind still processing the situation ''I don't have all the details yet. Christopher left the office abruptly, so I couldn't talk to him directly. As for Gabriella, I'm not familiar with her, she is probably the easy to bend lady he wanted. He has always been secretive after all.''

Aurora's eyes narrowed, sensing there's more to the story. ''I never imagined he'd marry soon, in three days after dad's order, he suddenly finds this girl and she easily marries him, who does that? He was a target for an attack as well, he narrowly escaped death yesterday and then this. We need to find out what's going on.''

Eric nodded, a determined look on his face. ''I'll dig deeper, I'll talk to him, find out what's going on.''

Aurora, wanting to shift the conversation, decided to discuss Diana's school progress. "Eric," she began, her voice filled with pride, "I wanted to share some exciting news. Diana is doing exceptionally well at school. Her teachers have suggested enrolling her in a special school. It seems our daughter's intelligence surpasses that of her peers."

A smile spread across Eric's face as he listened to Aurora's words. "That's wonderful to hear, Aurora," he replied, his voice brimming with delight. "Diana has always shown such intellectual curiosity and determination. It's no surprise that her teachers have recognized her potential."

Aurora nodded enthusiastically, her eyes gleaming with admiration for their daughter. "Yes, it's truly remarkable. The teachers believe that a special school would provide Diana with the right challenges and opportunities to further nurture her talents."

Eric's mind raced with thoughts of the bright future that lay ahead for their daughter. "I agree, Aurora. If Diana's teachers think a special school would be beneficial, we should explore that possibility. We want to provide her with an education that allows her to thrive and reach her full potential."

They continued to discuss Diana's achievements and the potential benefits of a specialized educational environment. Both Eric and Aurora were determined to support their daughter's growth and ensure she had the best opportunities to excel academically.
