Chapter 248 - Subsequent Fall Part 73: Reboot

"See, the problem is with following those colors, we don't know what they are, where they lead to, who else is going to them and we don't nearly have the resources or high tier battlers that can go toe to toe to a Diddler or a Ruby or a Titan." The masked man spoke as Hawaii looked over to Indy as he nodded quietly.

"Who gave you permission to speak?" Achilles looked directly at him while Alice and Airsoft put his hand in between him and the masked man.

"Not the place or time to fight." Alice wrapped her other arm around his waist.

"I did. Another high clearance part of the facility came active and online with a burst of energy before that colorful explosion. I unlocked it. The AI have been busy calculating select things around that room. And no one else can know." Astrid raised her hand to all of them as Zane stood still.

"Zane is still one of the highest ranking members, but the other thing is. The milky way has a protective barrier around it to keep us safe. We can't make decisions by one's self, its not how he taught us." Astrid looked at the rest of them.

"Which is why I am just a messenger and delivery boy of news. And goals for everyone here. Shall I?" The masked man asked with a gentle tone of politeness. The majority nodded as Indy didn't move. "First off. Directly from the note." The man pulled out a piece of paper as he looked at it for a moment.

"Astrid is the main person in charge of the station followed closely by the AI's aboard and Anders, if you are active, Zeta is in lockdown." The man skimmed forward over a couple of lines relating to him. "Proto and Omaha, you two will help with the next generation of clones alongside any surviving commanders."

Zane peered over as he read it and nodded. "Achilles, your warriors can use a terraforming machine to conquer more planets inside of the milky way outside of earth and the peon planet. If you as a council return to the milky way."

"I highly recommend returning, my barrier spell is up and will take an extremely talented mage to break." The man paused for a moment. "The government aboard the station in the civilian sector is good at self governing, however. Indy, you and the dogpound are to be the tie breaking justices, and if you cannot come do a decision, the trio of Airsoft, Proto and Omaha will be the last tiebreak."

"If there is anyone else in the meeting to discuss. . ." he trailed off for a moment as he read it. "You two are the Viper pilots, not only do I want you two to perfect your craft, but make others to your level." He kept reading for a second to keep winging it. "Reserves will be stockpiled across robotic fleets, vehicles, spare clone legions in cryofreeze and a upkeep of militia forces who volunteer to keep idea's fresh."

Indy looked at him as he motioned with his hands, codes where only one man would understand. 'I know when you lie, that last bit was bullshit.' The man did not pay attention.

"So, does this sound good or did I miss anyone and anything?" The man asked with a bow as Astrid took the paper. She read it and nodded.

"Adam's designs will be replicated in mass as standard vehicles and mechs. Meaning we will have an edge once more as they will be the best possible. I don't think we can replicate it, but we also don't know how much time we have." Astrid looked at the map of the universe as they all looked up as it was fuzzy.

"Something is shifting the universe. If we are to return to the milky way. Its now or never." Merle alerted them as he wanted approval.

"Yes." Indy, Hawaii and Airsoft shouted as the rest stayed silent as they warped away. They made it to the milky way dead center of the galaxy as they saw no color lines striking into the galaxy.

"So what does this mean?" Hawaii asked. Still curious about the plans.

"No one enters the galaxy and no one leaves till Astral arrives. We all have jobs to do and we should do them." The man looked over to the android. "I await your command."

"That's not the Cali I know, but, Astral influenced you, Hawaii. Lets go and deliver the news for what we get to do." Indy passed him and bumped his shoulder into him as the man backed away.

"You are right, it isn't." Cali whispered as he passed.

They left through the opened door as they smiled on their way out to the medical bay. Zane almost fainted as he was exhausted as Anders pulled up a medical table. Motioning for the two pilots to help her with Zane and making sure he lives.

"Proto, Omaha, Achilles, we have something to discuss." Airsoft pointed to the door as the masked man left as well as Astrid. The two went down the hallway as they went to check out the project the AI's were working on.

Once out of earshot Airsoft looked at the others. "We have a triumvirate on our hands. Achilles, we will watch each other but if it is true on what he has can terraform planets, it wouldn't be bad to have you spearhead it and the colonization of the galaxy. You have the most experience and the best forces left."

"But why do we listen to him?" Achilles asked as Airsoft shrugged.

"What else of a choice do we have while we wait for Astral. We take five years off, I want to have my kid in peace. From there we can go from there, and I implore you to start your own family."

"About that." Alice looked up at Achilles. "Would you with me?"

Achilles gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead as they embraced tighter. It made Proto roll her eyes as Omaha felt like she shrunk in her place into an ant. "Of course, I would choose no one else." The two walked out as Airsoft gave a gentle hug to Omaha.

"And we do what. Sit back till we get the first batch of clones?" Proto looked at Airsoft.

"We need more than just Zane and Dogpound clones, they are good but a diverse force can do wonders, take some of the best survivors and see if they will work for the cloning project." Sal waved the two off as he made sure Zane pulled through.
