"Adam, do we have the one planet ready for them inside of the training room ready?" Astral looked behind him as he tilted his head and cracked his neck. Adam gave a thumbs up. Shiro popped up and waved.
"Its in a soft beta testing. Not perfect however we can tweak it while they fight." Shiro slowly hovered over to the doorway as they all were quiet.
"But we want an actual battle versus others. Not your simulation." Minn yelled out as James and Angel looked at the lady who yelled.
"Yes, the planet inside of the training room is a real one. Much more massive than what my magic normally is capable of, its a gateway to a one million mile radius planet covered in these creatures of void. No human life and nature still exists." Astral showed a picture of it. "I will not set you loose in a galaxy without being able to survive, let alone not even get along with each other."
Indy counted everyone in the room. It was an odd amount as he looked to Astral. "How are you making the teams?"
Adam looked over to Astral as he nodded. "Simple. Adam, Zane and I will outpace you in your sleeps! The rest of you are five teams of four." Astral was doing the team combinations in his head. "The team with the highest kill count gets a bonus." Everyone outside of James and Angel became more motivated.
"If either of your teams win, I will spend time with you for a week, doing it with both of you." Astral rested a hand on each of their shoulders as they felt extra motivated. "Who wants to know who you are stuck with?"
"I wanna know the rules of the game." Zane spoke.
"Probably shouldn't have asked." Adam laughed a little bit.
"Each one of the clone commanders are the captains. If they become hurt in any way your team loses automatically." Astral smiled. "But what makes that tricky, is that they void monsters are lured to them." Astral pressed a button as Zeta held a crate in his hands and brought it over to them. "This event is three days, during the eight hours of rest the void monsters aren't as aggressive. But you do need those in order to damage them."
Everyone grabbed the tiny cubes and were confused for a moment as Angel and James clipped it to their waists. "Astrid, you are in charge for the next three days." She gave him a thumbs up as she turned on the cameras and started to watch the station.
"What are these?" Carolina asked as Adam had his original one still on.
"Devices for your armor to work versus the creatures. And for any melee weapons to work versus them as well." Astral snickered. "As for the way to win. Get the most kills on the void monsters. Which will be constantly tracked by Shiro." Astral watched as everyone clipped the cubes to their waist.
"Also, as for the teams themselves. Airsoft, it is you with Cece and Lillith protecting Laz." Astral announced as Airsoft rolled his eyes at the news.
"Really, the two most hormonal bitches and Laz?" Airsoft spoke out as the two ladies started shouting at him. "Nothing personal Laz."
"None taken, I have the lowest expectations for you and you brought a shovel." Laz commented back as Astral realized this is what it's happening in the first place.
"See this is why we are doing this, to build up our teamwork so you don't argue on the battlefield and end up dying." Astral sighed.
"But when do we ever not end up teamed with our normal selves?" Wash asked.
"Is this one of those mandatory workplace meetings?" Adam laughed as Astral flicked him off.
"Achilles, you get to be with Neigel." Neigel was excited about this. "As well as being paired with Washington and Nevada." They all walked over to each other and have high fives. 'Much easier with that pairing.' "Proto, it's you, James, Hawaii and Pete."
"I'm just happy to be here. But why him again?" Pete muttered to himself as James wrapped his arm around him.
James roped in Hawaii with his other arm. "It'll be fine, with the four of us we should have no issues!"
"Sal, your team consists of Angel, Indy and Oregon." Sal threw his arms up in excitement as it was a good thing. "Jax, you get Omaha, Utah and Mississippi." Astral was booed by Jax and Omaha as he shrugged.
"These teams suck, we should just pair up with our normal teams and see who wins." Utah heckled at Astral as he shrugged.
"Eh, your choice to let your clone commander get hurt and lose out on that three billion dollar bonus." Astral dropped the money amount as all of them started running to the training room outside of the five that were there originally.
"Do you think it'll work?" Airsoft asked quietly.
"They don't have a choice, either everyone gets along, including you, or people start dying, ask them, its not a good time." Both James and Angel shrunk a bit from the comment as Astral hugged them. "If they saw the horrors we have I think they would shape themselves a bit."
"But what about what happened on earth?" Airsoft's tone was mildly angered and annoyed. "They became bonded from that."
"But we both know people we face can be stronger, despite their great teamwork, they don't play well with others." Airsoft nodded as Astral started walking, Adam closely followed behind him. Mentally preparing for the test.
Once they got to the training room the others were going to town prepping their arsenals as Astral tapped Angel's shoulder. Turning around she saw his rifle. "This is yours, outfitted with a new type of ammunition." Angel darted her eyes up as they filled with tears.
"Thank you." She grabbed it as the weight of it was surprisingly light. Lowering it into her left hand as her right held her spear. Astral whistled as James came over.
"Finnick may not have been someone other than a disguise. But these." Astral held up vials of different fluids. "Are real, the elements became harnessed into a liquid form. Can I see your gloves for a moment?" James stuck out his hands as Astral sewed on a capsule quickly. "It is in a prototype state and not stable, but highly effective and adds power." James nodded as he looked at the three vials and put them snugly in his bag.
"Listen up everyone!" Shiro yelled as they all were dazed by the sound outside of Achilles and Astral. The latter covered James' ears to help him recover his hearing. "You six will be spawned in six separate areas as the numbers become massive. If your clone commander gets hurt, you will be forced to sprint and meet up with the closest team. Captains, pick your beacon color." Each clone chooses a different color. "You now may begin." Shiro sent them into the training room.
