A man's voice rang out. He was as round as he was tall, looking like a giant slob. "These were the two the empire wanted?" He started laughing as the rest of the room laughed with him. "You two were easier to catch than children." Jaimie tried to shake loose as someone injected another vial of fluid into her. Making her woozy.
"Ah, still got some fight left in you, would be a shame to enslave you and make you by my side forever." The rolling ball of a man laughed as did Astral. Jaimie fainted, slouched over herself.
"Ah you fools think you can turn us in, AHAHAHAHA" Astral got injected by two men at the same time as three armored guards stood in between them and their leader.
"Shawn, what should we do?" The middle guard, dressed like a cowboy, tipped his hat to the boss. The two flanking him looked like an armored super soldier. And a giant female lizard from the same planet as earlier.
"Well, that's up to you Josey, personally. I want to keep the girl for myself, enslaved by my side forever." Jaimie's eyes bolted open as she listened to their conversation. Not moving a muscle due to everything feeling numb and blurry. "As for the male, dispose of him. We have no need for him. Ditch his worthless carcass to the empire for testing."
Jaimie stood in an instant. She wouldn't let anything stop her from being with Astral, the chains holding her down shattered, sending the shrapnel outwards as it scattered across some of the guards. Her armor fired to live, the deep emerald greens covering everything once more as the black undersuit activated.
'Jaimie, your nervous system is paralyzed from the drug they gave you. Stay still while I use the suit to fight it.' Murphy talked to her and started to summon Alexa.
"No time for that Murph, now or never." She slid her arm down as her spear appeared. All she could do was grasp it.
"How much of the spice did you give her?" Shawn yelled from atop his throne.
"A lethal dose for even the emperor!" One of the guards pointed to the empty boxes. "And double for giggles over here."
"Hah that's new. Where are my clothes?" Astral clapped as they reappeard. Snapping his chains as the nerve agent makes him drop to the ground due to Shawn controlling it.
"Good luck moving, with that much I can turn your brains to mush with a press of a button that I already pressed." Shawn started laughing as Josey slipped out the back exit, his two comrades stayed.
"Heh, if it attacks the brain waves." Jaimie paused as it was draining her to stand. "It won't work." She tilted her helmet and head up as the drug was doing its job to cripple her.
'Jaimie, slash forty degrees right.' Murphy gave the command as she followed with a swift swing, decapitating a guard. They all began to charge at her at once. 'Reach out with your left hand and crush.'
Jaimie felt a throat in her grasp as she crushed the windpipe, popping the head off of the body as it fell to the ground in a bloody mush. "Just give me a direction to swing my spear." Jaimie grabbed a knife from her side and sent it flying at Shawn as it stalled out in his shield.
'Right. Slash at your left side for three thuds then spin it above your head to take out the guardsmen behind you. No holding back!' Murphy spelled it out for her as she followed suit. Smacking the three men charging at her with the back of her spear. On the third thud she spun the tip behind her, severing their necks as five guards remained. Including the two associates of Josey.
"Open fire on that rotten bitch she probably is just a worthless whore!" Shaown spoke out as the knife ripped through his shield he had around him. Astral's eyes turned a dark red as he trusted the knife through him. Jaimie stood in front of Astral as the bullets rang through the room. Clinking and clanking off of Jaimie's armor.
Once they ran out of ammo Jaimie giggled. "Don't you hate it when you go through your full load?" Jaimie spun her spear around and smashed it into the five of them. Slamming them through the wall. Josey took off in the distance as the Everlast appeard in low orbit.
Josey used his jump drive in orbit and escaped as the lizard lady and soldier stood up in the courtyard. Jaimie slammed down in front of them staring the two down. "Why do you seem familiar?" She pointed her spear at the soldier as he charged her and knocked away the spear sending a punch to her temple.
"I am the one who gave you the poisoned fruit!" He shouted as his hand was caught by her left hand. She squeezed it shut as it shattered in her palm. He reeled back in pain in nothing but a bloody mess as Jaimie stepped up and slammed her right fist into his skull, turning it into a fine red mist as the lizard was in shock.
Rolling backward the lizard tossed out smoke grenades made from the same spice that was fed to them. By this time shuttles were coming from the Everlast as the cartel's forces started to engage.
"This is viper leader calling out to Queen and King callsigns, battlenet is online are you two stable?" Fighter jets soared around gunning down the cartel ships in the air.
"Viper leader, Astral is out cold, he needs a detox on the way back to the Red Merle. As for Jaimie, well she is fine." Alexa answered, walking Astral around in his suit watching the fight below her.
The lizard sat back in the smoke as it was uncomfortable to be in, but the only safe space for her. Jaimie went over and picked up her spear. "Did you not take a basic chemistry class? Gas is usually flammable." She dragged the tip of her spear along the ground. Sending a direct slash into the gas. It ignited in one giant fireball as flames consumed the lizard.
She started to scream for mercy, the burning sensation stuck to her scales, her nerves felt like they were being stabbed by thousands of thorns at once as the fire consumed the courtyard. Jaimie stood there watching the lizard burn as the screams slowly stopped. She walked back to the throne as she pulled the carcass of the man out of the chair.
He coughed. "Whatever you do, don't kill me!"
"Well beyond that point you jackass." Jaimie aimed at the sun. Launching his body through the ceiling. Sending it to the sun.
"What a throw! These forces will be cleaned up in a matter of minutes. Viper Leader out." He complimented her as he saw the body fly by.
"Well Astral, are you ready for the vacation to be over?" Jaimie asked as her suit faded, stumbling for a second before catching herself. All she got back was a groan.
"Don't do those drugs, the buzz was good, but I feel like shit." Astral commented as Jaimie cradled him in her arms.
"Anders will get a blood sample and break it down for you, then give it to our troops to have immunity to it." Jaimie rested his feelings as the fire raged on from her attack. A shuttle with Airsoft and Anders was waiting for the two of them as they went back to the Everlast.
"Well, he will be fine by the time we get back to the Red Merle, these antibodies directly attack nerves. You need to rest too. Take a shot for the antibody to break it down." Anders held up a needle for Jaimie as she slapped it away.
"Sorry doc, just a little touchy to those things right now." Jaimie curled back as Airsoft looked at the two.
"Did you two have an adventurous year off?" He asked as Jaimie looked at her watch, it really had been a year that they experienced time.
"Were some of the days long or did we just fuck that much?" Jaimie was in awe as Airsoft fistbumped Astral. Jaimie just rolled her eyes. "We did spend about as much time traveling as we did on the planets though. That doesn't help."
"Luckily you two can't do any funny business in the next twenty minutes, right?" Airsoft looked at the two pushing the doctor at the door as Jaime batted her eyelashes. Airsoft got back to the bridge as they awaited the safe homecoming to the Red Merle.
The Everlast docked smoothly as Jaimie and Astral walked to the bridge. "Hey Jaimie, you have a little bit hanging out the side of, WHAT THE FUCK YOU HAD TWENTY MINUTES!" Airsoft exclaimed as Jaimie licked her lips.
"You are a succubus demon, this does make sense." Airsoft waddled away as Astral and Jaimie followed him to the northern bridge. Astral slammed open the doors as James tackled him to the ground. Jaimie wrapped Angel up in her arms as they laughed.
"Who is ready to take down an evil gang!" Astral shouted as Adam signed.
"But I just made the galaxy peaceful again…" Adam dropped his head as Astral and Jaimie handed their present to him.
