The two's vision returned as they were in an iron dome of sorts. Both of them were in a single cell as a man was on the other side of the glass. The darkness surrounded the cell as a single beam of light shine on the man in a chair. "So, you two were the ones who defeated the superpower of the Union."
"More like derail, they still are a threat." Jaimie stood up as Astral was out cold. His jacket puffed up as Jaimie realized they did not have their armor on.
"Only a threat if they cower behind the other factions running about." the man stood up, eight feet tall. He was physically imposing as he walked to the edge glass. "You two will be trapped here forever, shame that darkness nullifies your friend." Jaimie looked down to him as he was curled in a ball.
"And don't thing emergency messages will work. Wait what the fuck are you doing?" The man yelled as Jaimie took off Astral's coat, slipping him underneath and in her clothes. Before putting on his jacket.
"It's simple isn't it?" Jaimie punched the glass as it shattered as she looked at the man. "I will be on my way and you can't stop me." She tapped his nose as he was in shock. Jaimie felt the darkness and knew Astral can't get close to it. 'One step at a time!' Jaimie leaped upward as she activated his cloaking unit.
"I still see you." The man pointed a rifle at the ceiling as he opened fire on Jaimie. She evaded by twisting her body as she kicked the steel open for her. Astral was warming up too slowly.
On the outside of the building she sild down it to hide among the lower levels, looking out for everyone, using the support system from the bridges in the slum levels to move around with no fear of touching anyone. 'Why can't you wake up?'
'I need to wake up, it's been too long and Jaimie needs me. I feel it.' Astral thought inside of his soul as the fairy hovered around.
"You will never slay the gods if you don't put yourself over others." The fairy responded as Mike clapped in the background.
"Please, I knew about your kind, you are just as selfish as the gods, the only difference is, since he is created by something special you go to him instead of his creator." Mike started laughing as Astral twisted in his sleep. Jaimie found an abandoned apartment to hide out in for the moment.
"But that makes no sense and isn't me. Let me be myself or I will abandon your quest." Astral pointed to the fairy.
"All us fairies have a name. Mine is Gold."
"I don't give two shits what your name is, agree with me or I will send you back to the fae gardens." Astral's tone dropped. The depth in his voice felt far more serious than Gold expected.
"Deal, you may now wake up." Astral's eyes flipped open as Jaimie hand her arms wrapped around him.
"Why am I in your clothes?" Astral turned around looking into her eyes.
"Well, you were out cold, so I broke out of the prison we were sent to by those fairies." Jaimie unzipped his jacket to let him out. Crawling out of her pants he summoned their armor.
"Those fucking fairies are going to try to get us killed." Astral nodded his head. "Why did I accept their deal?"
"Cause the one inside of you is special." Jaimie extended her arms and tapped him on the nose. "Just like you." She put on her undersuit again as Astral watched it conform to her every curve.
"Heh, I guess you have a point." He watched as she rolled her eyes as she put on her armor pieces. He followed suit as she got handsy with him as he put it on.
Sirens started to wail from outside as they put on their helmets. "COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS OUT AND SLOWLY OR WE WILL RESORT TO FORCE!" An officer shouted as the two look at each other.
Astral pointed his hand up as he charged a cyan projectile. "Bang." He let it go as it blew a hole out of the wall. Their wings extended as they lifted off into the sky. Being chased by interceptor jets.
"Jaimie, manuver three!" Astral shouted as they made their way to space. Jaimie stopped all of her momentum at once. Stalling in the air and punching the interceptor into the ground a few thousand feet as Astral pulled out his sniper and disabled the other two as they slipped away.
They sped across the galaxy into the remote sector they haven't explored yet. The first planet they saw was a tropical resort planet. Blue seas with plenty of sandy beaches for the two to enjoy. "Should we stop here for a drink?" Astral asked as Jaimie rolled her eyes.
"Isn't there a better backwater stick planet that's safer and probably doesn't know my face?" Jaimie asked as she had reports coming in from the empire that she had a fifty trillion dollar bounty.
"Yeah, let's go to this one over here. Looks quiet enough, minimal space travel. I wonder why?" Astral wondered to himself as the two slowly traveled to the planet. "Since they have our armor we should deactivate it and stow away on a ship."
"So we just sit here and wait for a ship, there is a ship coming now isn't there?" Jaimie sighed at his dramatic timing as she and Astral clung on to the shuttle closely as it descended onto the planet.
Once the shuttle landed Astral and Jaimie hopped off and deactivated their armor. "Do you think news travels fast?" Jaimie was worried and asked.
"Across the galaxy, yes, but if the empire put that high of a bounty there is a reason. Most people could be scared to tango with you so just let me do the talking." Astral rested his hand on his chest as Jaimie rolled her eyes.
"Because that isn't what got us in this mess?"
"I mean, whatever works right. Besides, Adam is making moves, that bounty by the empire has reports that it is about to splinter in half."
"Meaning Adam brought the galaxy to peace in our vacation span?"
"Yup, it only took him a year of hard work. We have to thank him somehow."
"We could get him a gift!"
"I love it, we should also get him a girl." Jaimie smucked Astral as he said that. "Well deserved, but maybe just have Carolina or Hawaii have a nice dinner with him. What about Aly?"
Jaimie put her head into her hands. "What am I ever going to do with you two boys?"
"Love us forever and ever."
Jaimie grabbed Astral by the collar and started to pull him away, to get them moving on to see what else this planet has in store.
