Chapter 142 - Astral's Rise Part 93: Tropic

Jaimie and Astral soared into the planet's atmosphere. Landing gently on an uninhabited island filled with plenty of nature for the two to be around. Once on the beach they deactivated their armor and sat down.

"Is soaring around the galaxy really that tiring?" Jaimie felt winded from all of the motion. Reaching her hand out and placing it on top of Astrals she smiled. "Looks like I still have plenty more training to catch up to you." The two started to laugh as the glimmering water sparkled their reflections back at them.

"It's more of I have more practice. But I am hungry from flying, what do we want?" Astral asked, twisting his hand upward and grabbing Jaimies as she beamed with happiness. She rested her head on his shoulder as she stretched her other arm out.

"Whatever is tasty that we can find! I'll set up our hammock and a fire." Jaimie pulled Astral up with her as she looked into the forest. Astral stretched his arms a little bit as he smiled. This was the most peaceful day he has had in a very long time.

Jaimie replanted two trees along the beachfront, setting up their hammock and a canopy covering it. Working on the fire she set it up to cook a myriad of dishes in it as she was proud of her work, changing into something to surprise her husband.

Astral was on top of a cliff, looking into the crystal clear water, seeing a giant fish in the water. "I ain't going in there." He tied a rope to his spear as he threw it into the water. Pulling up the fish with the rope he smiled. As he walked back through the forest he picked up fruits, berries and vegetables to pair with the fish. Once he made it to the beach he saw his lovely wife in a very form fitting bikini.

"Wait a second, you changed and I didn't, why couldn't I think of that?" Astral set down the two baskets on the ground and the fish over the fire as he tossed his clothes into her face.

"What, you aren't going to let me enjoy the show." Jaimie caught all of his clothes and set them down, getting a peek at him as he hoisted up his shorts. "Well? What would you say if we enjoyed the hammock and slow roasted the fish?"

Astral walked over to the hammock and lied down. "So you want an appetizer before the main course?"

Jaimie laid on top of him giggling. "Best know this will be dessert too." The two bonded with each other as the sky turned to dusk. The fire being the only thing illuminating the area. Two little eyes peeked out from the vast sea of ocean. Seeing the beachfront action, would figure it's best to leave it till morning.

Jaimie and Astral sat next to each other by the fire as they dined in the slow roasted fish. The silence was perfect as a south breeze kept it from deafening. Astral took a big bite of the fish filet as Jaimie asked. "Do you have something similar planned for me like that later?"

"Much more gentle." Astral smiled with his mouth full of food still. "But more aggressive at the same time." Jaimie ate one of her fruits as Astral kept enjoying his food.

"Ah, your cooking always hits the spot, you should do it more often than you do for the two of us." Jaimie took a bite of fish as Astral swallowed his mouthful.

"It's very enjoyable and relaxing nowadays compared to what I used to do. Once a week from here on out?" Astral looked directly into her eyes as they gleamed.

"That would be lovely." She leaned over and kissed him on the forehead. After they were finished they buried the bones and pits into the ground into the forest. Going back in the hammock as they swung around for a bit. Night overcame them as they fell asleep.

Once the two awoke they looked up to three fish like people standing in front of them. Astral and Jaimie were relaxed as they stood up. The fish men were quiet as they waved. The fish backed up as Astral and Jaimie took a step forward.

"Hi, how are you?" Astral asked the three looked shocked they could understand him.

"Where do you humans come from, the empire?" The middle fish man spoke as Jaimie stuck out her tongue at the one on the end.

"Nope, we come from elsewhere. Far beyond the reaches of this galaxy." Astral smiled as the other fish stuck his tongue out to Jaimie who smiled.

"Then do you know whats happening around the galaxy which makes everyone fear humans right now?" The end fish away from them asked the deity in front of them.

"If it's something to do with God Emperor, we aren't helping, we are on vacation." Jaimie looked across to the end man.

"So you think its fun to have him genocide the entire galaxy outside of humans?" the three fish said in unison.

"More like he can't." Astral laid back down in the hammock as the three felt like that answer was weird. "One man can kill millions and billions, but even if one other human opposes him. Then you all will live." They looked in awe, drawing small daggers as Jaimie waved her hand to not.

"Explain." the three announced to him as the breeze made the hammock swing back and forth.

"Their leader is a puppet enacting his will, but if someone cuts the strings he has no life." The breeze carried the hammock back and forth. "So after its all sorted and the empire realizes that, they will exile him until they see it fit for him to return." It clicked for the sea creatures as Astral held up his helmet.

"Snorkeling Jaimie? Only way you will get me in the water all trip." Astral got picked up by her as she looked into his eyes, the fish people receding back into the water. "Also don't worry about us, we will be leaving in about two day's time."

The fish people disappeared as Jaimie looked behind her. "You think that will end up being true?"

"To an extent, it's like Napoleon. His first exile." Astral was set down by Jaimie.

"Will God Emperor not have a second one?" Jaimie put on her helmet as Astral put on his.

"Nope, because he will understand that coming out is a bigger risk to his dream than to just stay put." Astral started to walk into the water as Jaimie tackled him into the water.

The two started to swim around the island, finding the coral reefs around the island beautiful as they watched all the different fish swim by. They paid no attention to their surroundings and were happy to enjoy much needed time together.

After a few hours they made their way back to the beach and sat by the fire one last time. Ready to leave to the next planet in the morning. Lying in the hammock the two interlocked with each other before the next day. The sun rose as the sky turned pink.

They watched it rise and smiled. This is what their relationship was lacking. They stretched each other out as the two put their normal clothes back on. Once they were dressed they looked to the stars once more. "Where to next?" Astral asked.
