Astral and Jaimie walked down the hyperlane as the shuttles soared by every once in a while. "You think this galaxy will be different from the Milky way?" Jaimie asked as Astral spoke only to be cut off by a shuttle.
Astral saw the all clear as he talked. "Yes, several different races of aliens coexisted inside of this galaxy the last time I was there. Yet the dread of going back feels different than last time." Astral opened up the core hatch as the two walked in. Their suits are flaring to life.
"These suits are so nice, why can't everyone have one?" Jaimie slid down the tunnel first as she started to hover in the core.
"The density of the metal is too much mass, if you don't have regulators on them that is. Our bodies can build over the point to have the regulators. Everyone else can't, which is why Lone created the enchants in the first place. Adding them to my armor is overkill yet feels necessary." Astral's wings fire to life as the two work to the center.
"Is that where Cali resides?" Jaimie pointed to a floating ball among the core. Astral nodded as the two touched the core of the station. The power radiating from it was washing over them as it came to greet them.
"Hello there entities. Ungodly beings capable of beating gods." Red spoke as his pure silhouette of a red flame showed itself to the two. Jaimie was in awe of this experience.
"Hi Red, how are ya feeling for another galaxy to watch over and add to the collection?" Astral held out his hand to the flame as it showed the next galaxy.
"Astral, this is so cute, why is the one on the bridge different though?" Jaimie still was puzzled as the AI read the star map of the galaxy.
"That is his shell. The thing enhanced with the technology of this station. Down here, he is pure, still having the innate desire to burn." Astral tapped the base of the flame as it grew in size to cover the core.
"The Gersterize galaxy. One filled and brimming with life on each planet. Each species is different. With many high humanoid races inhabiting the same planet." Red spoke as the core charged with energy.
"This is what powers Zeta isn't it?" Jaimie saw the connection as Astral nodded. "Still a small fraction but the same type of power. Wow." Jaimie's awe was amazed further despite how much she did to build the station.
"Anders will be happy here due to the aliens, you two will be happy due to the fact there is history and culture to learn. Adam will be happy about the artistic scenery in the galaxy." Red burned hotter as the core shell glowed from the heat.
"Look at you supercharging for a big warp." Astral patted the hand shell next to him as the movement of the station felt weightless. They moved within seconds. Astral became worried the station would become motion sick. He tapped into the communications of the civilian part of the planet as it was silent.
"No motion sickness in instantaneous movement. We may draw attention to ourselves if we drive deeper into the galaxy. For now we should only set off a few radar's." Red's flame died back into the shell as Jaimie smiled.
"Can I say hi to him?" She pointed to the sphere holding Cali.
"Of course. Tell him his new team is doing as well as he was on earth. All of them are safe and upper command. Mostly." Astral pinched his finger as Jaimie entered the sphere with Astral close behind.
"Ah, this is just a normal visit. For the first time in what feels like millions of years you have came by." Cali had a beard and hair that went to the floor as Jaimie looked weirded out.
"Too much hair, not enough gray." Jaimie muttered as all of the hair was a perfect brown still. Astral walked over to the table as he set down a set of razors and trimmers.
"So I assume you two need something?" Cali looked with tears in his eyes. "I'll do anything to go back, this reading thing is draining, I've read the entire library five times. You know how many books are in there?" Cali grabbed Astral by the shoulders as Astral backed up.
"Okay I get it!" Astral backed up. "I will give you more things to do. Under two conditions." Cali bobbed his head up and down fast to approve of what needed to be said. "One, stay well trimmed and change your clothes every once and awhile." Astral clapped as a mirror appeared in his little bathroom as well as a walk-in closet.
"Two, we can visit you to test out human limits for select item's Astral makes. And if we needed you to activate a contingency plan. Adam, our other head of the army, is the one to deliver your role. Not us." Jaimie smiled as she had ideas for testing certain clothes and weapons for normal people as Astral set up the electronics for Cali.
"These four game consoles are all you will ever need. Even some for activity. And for the love of god stay active." Astral spoke as he hung up a clock for the timezone.
"Wait, I can track time now?" Cali asked as his voice was shocked.
"Not really, this just allows you to track the passing of hours and days." Astral walked out of the bubble as Jaimie looked him in the eyes and winked before pulling out of the bubble.
"Your fireteam is doing well, they are serving you proudly." Jaimie's voice rung through the sphere as Cali fell to his knees, starting to bawl.
"Jaimie, that was mean. But I like it." Astral giggled as Jaimie slapped his ass.
"I'll tease you while we are on our trip." She smiled as the two raced out of the core and back to the northern bridge to discuss the plans with Adam and having him take charge until they come back from their vacation.
