Chapter 133 - Astral's Rise Part 84: Bond

Astral looked around as the drones panned around him. New robots came out of nowhere as the surrounding area turned into buildings. Striking one of the drone cameras as Astral slides around and saves the camera to be reversed hacked.

"Oh hey, it still is functional. What about a front point of view of the action?" Astral stuck it to his head as a magnet spell bound it to his helmet. Astral saw a fast and limber robot coming at him. He stood still as the robot launched three punches at Astral.

Astral slid into place, blocking the blows while aiming his counter attack. Once the bot's three move flurry was over Astral sent a sky kick at the robot. Sending his skull flying. He watched the robot's body continue to try and fight as Astral snapped its limbs off of the core of the robot. A wave of tiny robots were flanking behind Astral as he paid no attention to them.

"Freeze." Astral didn't move as the incantation surrounded the area. He looked behind him as the swarm of nanobots were frozen in air. "What a sight to behold, technology used for warfare against other robotic uses." Astral clapped as a fiery inferno absorbed the area, pillaring into space for miles as Astral stays inside of the torrent with the bubble charm.

The flames died down as Astral started to slow his breathing. He had reserve's of oxygen from his suit but switching them out this second is a bit risky. "I wonder if there is a charm for it?" Astral opened the tome and started to pick through the chapters as he found three spells that were useful.

"Lumen." Astral muttered as the robots attacked him all at once. Shifting his head he would jump upwards, he was above them as it was easier to breathe. He slipped the glove on to amplify the spell he wanted to use next.

"Destroy." Astral held his hand out to them as he pushed downwards. The telekinetic force crushing them into the planet. Astral pointed his fingers into a finger gun. 'Die.' He told himself as he fired a laser of red light through the planet. It incinerated every robot in its wake as Astral saw through the hole.

"Interesting." Astral spoke quietly as he landed back on the planet. The robotic steel patched the holes right away. Astral saw more robots coming at him as he sighed. "Now I am getting pissed." Astral pulled out his rifle as he unloaded into the fifteen robots coming at him. "Can't you ever fucking quit!" Astral clapped his hands as a shockwave paralyzed the robots around him before he turned them into dust.

"Adam what the fuck is happening ont that planet and how fast can you get me there!" Jaimie stormed onto the bridge as Adam froze up.

"Wait, you aren't Astral, why do I feel scared?" Adam started backpedaling as he flipped over the couch failing to recognize the voice for a second. Being blinded by the armor as his brain started moving.

Jaimie lifted him up and back onto his feet as he looked into the helmet. "That doesn't look like one hundred percent Astral tech. Weird. Anyways Astral has shut down all travel to where he is, even if I could get you there I won't." Adam made a smug look as Jaimie rolled her head, cracking her neck as she rolled her eyes.

"You have thirty seconds to change your mind." Jaimie grabbed him by the collar as they slowly moved over to the window. Adam's face turned from being a smart ass to worry.

"Oh you mean the thirty seconds Astral lasts in bed?" Adam chuckled as Angel and James wondered if they should help Adam or Jaimie.

Jaimie lifted Adam against the bridge's glass, pressing him into it. "What gives out first Adam, you or the glass?" She wasn't playing anymore as a small fire grew from the corners of her eyes as the armor faded showing her face to him.

"If Astral kills me, I will come back to life and kill you." Adam motioned with his hands to let him down. Jaimie slowly dropped him back to his feet.

"Now Murphy, how is the suit's oxygen levels?" Jaimie asked as Adam made a quick little doodle.

"Forty percent capacity, enough for a full day's worth of stressing physical activity, minus the recycle factor." Murphy pulled up a graph for her as she studied it.

"Ah thank you buddy." Jaimie patted the top of his head as she readied her weapons. Adam walked over and handed her a button. "What the hell is this Adam? If I press it, does it give you a girlfriend?" Airsoft started laughing from the couch as Adam blushed.

"It will instantly teleport you to the one you love the most. I think we all know who that is." Adam spoke as Jaimie slapped him.

"I sure as hell hope he is, he is my husband!" Jaimie yelled at him as Airsoft looks over the back of the couch.

"Excuse me but some of us are trying to watch primetime entertainment." Airsoft spoke as he pointed to the screen. Jaimie glared at him as he felt a burning pain on his neck before he slumped back down into the couch. "I think it's best for me to shut up."

Jaimie looked at the screen. "You have someone to trust now, don't do things alone." She spoke softly as she pressed the button. Moving instantly as she saw Astral below her, the paws on her suit moved her down to the surface.

Jaimie came crashing down. Slashing the robots that were attacking Astral with her spear, igniting the area on fire as Astral is shocked by her presence. Astrals feet glowed in a cyan hue as the area became encircled in a cyan print. Astral flexed his wrist upwards and created a hard light dome.

"Why are you here?" He asked as he looked around. The printing on the ground looked different as the robots struggled to even touch the hard light.

"Because you are no longer alone." She spoke resting a hand on his face as his eyes drift from red back to their cyan color. Her warmth filled his soul as they embraced each other in a hug.
