Astral would toss the rock backwards as the alien lizards and monkeys were baffled by the barrier not letting them through. The people inside were startled as Lucky ran through and hugged Astral.
He set his hand on the wound, as it slowly glew green it healed. "So, is this what people are left fighting here?" Lucky nodded slowly. "Plenty of people, you are doing good, untapped potential for you, keep chasing it." Lucky's beaming smile warmed Astral's heart.
Astral would walk into the building as Zeta would clear out the horde in front of the hard light dome. He wanted to keep it thin for when Astral came up and started his next plan of action. A burst of exploding plasma hit his right shoulder as he backed into the veil. It blew off the hinge joints of his shoulder, it will take a second as he sits on the ground to mess with it.
With around one thousand other people inside the building outside of the one hundred and fifty six armed soldiers. "Can you give me some details on what has happened?" Astral looked to the leader of the group.
"It started a week ago, the ships came into orbit and hit us with everything they got. With air superiority, they overwhelmed all of the global governments. From what we have heard on short distance radio, there may be a few million humans spread across the planet." The man would speak as Astral's armor fizzled away to show his face of curiosity.
"And now, from the reports I've heard through comms, all that's left is maybe one thousand trained people across the globe. Earth is done. There are too many." The man would look up to Astral as he was typing away.
"Nah, not too many, it is just the wrong priority." Astral sent a message to relay and focus on evacuation efforts. "Right now, I think we are clearing the way for air support but for now. We are all we got." looking outside he tags Zeta to pull the supplies into the bubble. "My main goal is saving everyone who is left. So please give me some introductions while I bring in supplies." Zeta and the supply box would be blocking the door out.
"Ah, I guess. I am Airsoft, or that's my codename, was an elite mercenary but I've started to lead a fireteam of the best military members outside of those nine." He would speak while pointing to the only ones looking out the windows. Marveled at the barrier and Zeta with the supplies waving at them.
"Proto and Omaha are twins and my only partners I've ever worked with that lived. Then the only members of the state's special ops squad left, Mag's who goes by Minnesota, Nevada one of the few dudes left. His name is Mark, Cece, also Carolina, Indy the only person I couldn't dig up information on, and Lillith known as Hawaii." He would motion for the others to come forward and give the supplies to the people who needed them.
He pointed behind him. "The wounded from their project, Washington, also known as Nick, Oregon, lovely lady who is clinging to life, Utah who is stable but unconscious, and lastly Mississippi." Astral saw some of the other military fireteams, three of them in fact.
His eye's glow with the information of what special squads they are. Fireteam Wolf, Fireteam Falcon and the remnants of elite soldiers with resumes filling his left eye. "What's your name?" Airsoft asked as he waved the fireteams to distribute food around.
"Me? Ah, I am Astral. In fact, some of you may know me. Often referred to anyone not human as a deity." He unlocked the supply crate and would look at everyone. "For those of you who want off this rock. You will be escorted by Airsoft and his men when they suit up in better armor with other weapons. Once that happens my mech will escort you to an shuttle which will take you to safety."
Airsoft would be directing the troops and the supplies. "You seven, once you get armored up we are going to track down the souce of the enemies ground command and shut it down, including you Lucky." Looking across the rest of the room. "Anyone else who wants revenge, join me and I shall see it so." He got a message on his hud. Zane and Jaimie had met heavy resistance from the humans who don't want to leave.
Replying with. 'If they don't leave, let them stay but take out every alien you see. This is the ancient alliance called Sacramentum. Take caution.' Airsoft and his men were suited up as were the twins and the other four. "Do you have an easier callsign?" Pointing to the five of them.
"You can call us whatever you need sir. Our original team name was Valor, but with us being sold out, it doesn't fit anymore. " Nevada spoke to him inspecting the weapon he had.
Airsoft took a step forward. "You already don't like me, but I'm making it worse. Astral, here is the maps of the underground bunkers filled with survivors across the US." Astral uploaded it to the battlemap. "As for you Nevada, Tex and Cali sold out the entire project before this happened, inviting the Sacramentum here to try and collect Astral for a heinous crime he committed to them."
The remainder of Project Valor heard that as Astral's tab lit up with a third prompt. Kill every human left in California. Carolina stood up. "If you are telling the truth, why would they sacrifice the planet?"
"The deal is to leave the elites of the world alone inside of the one state. No clue why, all they wanted was Astral, the government gave up everything they had, and all hell broke loose." Airsoft spoke as Proto and Omaha stood behind their friend.
The five members standing stared down the other three as Astral shouted. "ENOUGH!" Everyone in the warehouse froze in place. They all had his respect. "If he is lying we can humiliate him, if he is correct you will give him an apology, first thing first however." Astral tapped on Lucky's shoulder as the pictures they took from the core popped up. "They are trying to make the earth explode, after that we can deal with the issue."
"After that you guys should have everyone evacuated. My other fireteams across the planet are facing hardships. We will be the first ones done. Airsoft" Astral paused for a second. "I need your forces to round up any spare survivors that aren't secured, Falcon, Wolf. Your armor is equipped with stamina and speed enhancements, they will keep you moving. Send one of these flares to evacuate the tagged bunkers." The fireteams nodded as they were suiting up.
"Everyone understand?" The warehouse nodded in agreement. They had better weapons and armor now. It is time to take the fight back to the Sacramentum. Astral looked to Zeta. The mech morphing into its Android form. "Lucky and Zeta, once the barrier drops, let loose." Looking to the rest. "You two and you five, follow me. No issues." Astral pointed to the twins and the others. "I will call you five the Dogpound for now."
They all hemmed and hawed at the name. It kinda fit and they still needed to prove they could do this while following someone else's lead.
"Good. Once we are ready, I will clear a path for everyone. I've done a planetary scan and from the looks of it. There is roughly one million people left, my other teams are encountering people who want to stay. But we are leaving for good after this." Astrals tone went dark as he readied his sniper.
