Chapter 93 - Astral's Rise Part 46: The Fleet

The fleet peered over the planet, the ships blocking all source of light. There were as many ships as there were stars among the night sky. People on the planet didn't know it at first, but a battle of many proportions were to be had among the stars.

"Blockade Rams, we need to clear a hole for the shuttles to get though after Astral clears the way." Astrid spoke among the code as The Red Merle hovered among the moon's orbit. Eclipsing the entire planet and Sacramentum fleet.

Astral's hole was punctured through the first few shuttles on his way down to the planet. The Sacramentum wanted to put other ships to block any way in or out. But the support shuttles were incoming escorted by ships on each side of them.

Astrid stood upon the bridge as she waved her hands forward. Her ships ramming through the outskirts of the holes in the fleet as the dozen shuttle ships made it through safe and sound. Astrid dropped her head for a moment as she completed the first of many tasks for them.

Adam looked across the active battlenet. he counted an endless amount of ships from their fleet. He raised his hands above the battlenet and spoke to Shiro. "Can we divide the attention. Deploy the Ring Fleet to the soft side and flush them back to us."

Adam paused for a second while he looked out, seeing their capital ship. "Shiro, set lightbeam to one percent power and fire at the giant silver ship in the middle of that cluster." She nodded adjusting dials. She gave the thumbs up.

"Astrid, deploy the main fleet in a manner to protect this station and send the ring fleet to swoop in around the backside of the planet, Alexa and Shiro, help her with the controlling of the ring fleet." Adam outstretched his arms with the two keyboards hovering as his AI sat on his head matching him. "I got the main fleet." With the first press of a button a beam of light got charged up.

"Refraction tunnel, minimum power." Adam spoke as the beam fired out, all of the ships were sent out as the sacramentum ships started to swarm in on the Red Merle. The ships came in point blank as the shuttles fired back. Adam was not losing this fight. His hand extended outward, turning up a dial a few notches.

"Hammer it home, this is the one we were worried about from the other side. Fire the Refraction Tunnel AGAIN!" Adam shouted as his AI tapped his foot twice of the top of his head. The light glowed from the chamber.

"Break maneuvers type forty four!" Commander spoke out to the fleet of Sacramentum. Punching his alien fist forward the fleet scattered away from each other trying to get closer to Red Merle.

The Refraction Tunnel managed to evaporate two light cruisers as it kept going. Commander watched as he knew he needed to shut that laser down. "Focus any spare fire onto the core of the lens where the three rings meet." He spoke out as the Sacramentum was getting pushed around the planet by the three other AI's.

Adam stood strong. He realized their goal had shifted from winning to crippling the laser. "Reaction Tunnel EMP Solar Flare." Kayla, his AI merged her keyboard, she was too busy keeping the ships back let alone changing the type of attack.

"Allow me sir." Red Merle appeared on the bridge as the tunnel glowed red. Firing out solar energy as it cracked miles outward like a whip. Every Sacramentum ship went into a soft reboot as Adam held his hand out for a fistbump. Red Merle takes part as he changes the refraction back into the pure beam attack.

Commander stood in awe, all systems were offline and they turned into sitting ducks for that giant metal planet. If only they knew of the other one of those floating about. "Reset all systems, prioritize shields then engines." Most of Red Merle's weaponry wasn't breaking their shields.

"Sir, all systems are good." One of the people in a console spoke up to Commandar. The ships on the backside of the planet fell back to protect their flank outside of the few who went planetside.

The Sacramentum fled stood still, even though they have lost a lot of their smaller ships, they haven't proved they could take out the bigger destroyers and dreadnaughts. Commander stood pleased among the capitol ship as he saw a glow coming right at them.

"Refraction Tunnel, ten percent." Adam spoke as it shredded through the core of ships, taking out the capitol ship, causing the others to go into a panic. Astrid turned her head to the planet, releasing the jet fighters from the fleet ring. Walking over and viewing the earth.

Alexa and Shiro stood back to back pointing at the thousand ships remaining. "Bang." they muttered at once as their ships started to unload their salvo onto the fleeing ships. The Sacramentum were lost, confused and had no other option.

They started to get point blank and engage in sideswiping attacks for the mutual destruction of the fleets. A couple of the frigates slipped from Adam's grasp as he was focused on destroying what was in front of him.

The ships were slowly falling one by one as the Sacramentum clumped up. Yet they were ready for the beam of light to cleanse them. The Red Merle fleets just unloaded on the remaining ships.

"Total losses, around seventy ships of our five hundred deployed, not including what Astrid used for the blockade breaking and what fighters she is using in the atmosphere." Shiro spoke to Adam.

"So, we aren't at one hundred percent capacity, how much did we have available for this?" He asked the two AI ladies as the one on his head looked down at him.

"Didn't you help design this?" She asked as she rolled down. "We were at one percent capacity on the Red Merle." She paused as Adam motioned to keep going. "With only one hundred ships from the ring. That is less than point zero one percent filled."

"So, in total we can cap out at roughly two million ships?" Adam asked as all three AI's nodded. Astrid was seeing the viewpoint of the fighter jets as they soared all across earth. Any hard targets she swarmed with her fighter jets. Particularly aiming for the ships hovering in atmosphere.

They were trying to destroy the planet as plasma burned from each ships core. Drilling down into the core of the planet to make it combust. Astrid swarmed and slammed each of these ships as much as she could. Only three remained as she rerouted a couple of fighters for Astral. She was on the hunt as all three warped from inside the planet away, leaving a giant crater in their wake from the energy release.
