Chapter 82 - Astral's Rise Part 36: Mechanics

"What in the fuck was that trip?" Jaimie would sit down looking at the layers and layers of paper blueprints on the table. Adam had gone to work, drawing up paper weights to hold down the corners as he started going to work.

The waitress walked over seeing Angel and James. Tilting her head to question before going back to a neutral position. "I'm assuming you all want your usual two pots of tea?" Astrals hand flew up with some cash. "I'll take that as a yes. I'll be back with six cups and your tea."

Adam was deep into concentration. Anders spoke to the server as she walked away. "Feel free to keep the change." Anders took a note on her clipboard. Correlating them with what Adam had on his many sheets of paper. It seemed like there was a complete layout for everything they would ever need.

Angel would flip a chair backwards and sit down as James sat on a different chair. Jaimie would sit on Astral's lap as he was passed out. Adam looked to Astral. "Hey, clones, droids or recruitment." Astral wouldn't budge with an answer quite yet. The waitress came back out with the tea and poured all of them their own cup.

James and Angel bowed and thanked her for the tea as the other three let her fill up their cups. Astral's cup was grabbed by Jaimie and held it in front of his nose, waking him up. He would grab the cup for himself and smile. "Mmmmm, this is just perfect. Thanks again."

The waitress would smile as she went back inside. "Adam, for that you realize it will be a combination of all three. Clones can be the backbone of our army. They are reproducible at a high rate and the right donor will mean the difference between effective clones and ones that fail. Look at that sci-fi show that came out."

He took a sip of tea. "When it comes to droids. I already have loads of drones exploring the galaxy. So making an army of them based off of close range defense in space is probably the most helpful." He paused and lit up the galaxy with the planets that have potential recruits. "This map is outdated to the first universe cycle. But there should be very little variance. My drones have confirmed that Polemestis is still the same as the past. That will be where we recruit."

"What about earth humans? Can't we recruit officers and strategists here instead?" Anders would ask as Astral, Adam and Jaimie looked at her in confusion.

"Not only is Astral developing software for this, but I think he is going into the past to summon our AI's like Alexa." Adam would comment while scribbling away furiously.

"Outside of that, we three are also extremely competent at leading. Meaning that if we do need more hands. We are fighting on too large of a scale." Jaimie would be looking over the blueprints as Alexa appears.

Anders irritably took a sip of her tea, setting it down as she looked over back to Astral. "If you have three leaders for your armies, would that be possible across a galactic scale?" Astral had three holograms up on each side of him, looking through he stared at Anders as the screen shifted.

"Yeah, just divide the area into a third, scout it and then place the base in the center." Astral's hands were both moving quickly as he was typing on keyboards hovering in front of him. "Even then, if we are the general's I still hope we get other help to lead the armies. Look at the twins, great warriors but need teaching."

Anders stood up walking over and smacked Astral on the head with her clipboard. He was focused on his goal. "No." She would start smacking more to get some level of response. "Indoctornating." Thawp. "The. Children." Anders goes for one more swing as Astral's paws come out fully functional and stop the attack.

"Simple fix to this. James, Angel, would you be comfortable learning more about leadership and fighting?" Astral asked as the two bobbed up and down in approval. "See, not so hard." Astral turned his head up to her before he went back to his work.

"Wait, if you are making a base, what's the energy component? Some sort of reactor?" James asked as Angel remembered that mission. Adam flew past that comment as he had the layout.

Tapping on the table Astral and Jaimie examined it and gave him the thumbs up as Jaimie popped up to answer James. "How clever, you two are smarter than you said."

"One of our last missions before we were cornered was a suicide one, go into an armored facility and take it down from the inside." Angel made a walking motion with her hands before combining them and showing an explosion.

"We didn't know anything about it and it was force fed information. Terrible time, mission though, complete success, place went boom not a second after we escaped." James added on.

"You guys do nothing but amaze me every time we speak. You are our gift." Jaimie reached out with her arms and slowly stroked her thumbs across their face. Astral gave a thumbs up to the comment . Alexa started scanning the documents into a digital blueprint.

"Astral even has a trick up his sleeve for the power source. When it comes to the core we have a plan for an infinite energy source. What will be the tricky part is containing the heat of it all." Alexa would make a holographic blueprint of the project they had. Showing it to the entire table.

"So you are saying you have a big planet that you are making." James was confused as was his sister.

"And that planet is becoming your base of operations?" Angel asked. "Like a headquarters or a place of safety?"

"Exactly. I feel like we can have you two catch on quick." Astral would pour himself more tea. "As for your question Anders. Humans are plenty capable. We just need, uh, what's that magic word. The right fit."

The waitress came out to the table to check up on them. "See, if we were to ask her about quantum mechanics and how different deployment plans for armies would work, she could be confused beyond repair. Putting that much stress on a person can usually crack them. Some humans do it better than others and yet we would still need to mold them." He looked over to the waitress who was blushing, handing him the second pot of tea.

Anders was left speechless from what he said, he was right, was there really no other way around it? All this process would do is take time. Something they have an abundance of and not enough.

"When it comes to building this the materials are gonna be the tough part. Astral, are you sure you can summon them all together?" Adam would ask. Curious about how much he could realistically summon at once.

"Wait." Jaimie yanked on one of the tomes at Astral's side. "Why couldn't we build a miniature one with the resources we need then expand it while adding the resources it needs to be bigger?" Jaimie pointed out a growth and shrinking spell.

"If we do that we have more work when it comes to the interior, it would be smarter to work on one layer of the build at the time." Adam snapped back.

"Hey, both are good ideas. But I'm making the core first and going from there okay?" Astral would speak as he does have ultimate say as the one who is building the thing. The two turned away from each other. As Astral sighed and went back to sleep. The detailing of the base was being worked on as Adam would tirelessly work till night. They were there all day and the waitress would come back out.

"Sir's and Madam's, we are closing so could you go back over to your warehouse?" She would ask timidly, not wanting to make them mad, she had heard all of their conversation and was confused by all of the scientific words from them.
