Chapter 77 - Astral's Rise Part 31: The Final Round

James and Angel would walk over and hold Astral's hands. He would enjoy their presence. All too soon though as he was pulled into the stage by some other force. James and Angel held onto Astral as he clinged to them to stay for even a second longer.

James stuck his spear into the ground holding himself firm as Angel's wings were beating so hard they were finally audible. Jaimie rushed over to hold him down till the timer ticked to zero. But with one swift tug Astral was pulled into the arena as Angel and James got pulled with him.

Reorienting himself he would face Titan and Mu. The twins stood behind him. Astral turned around before speaking softly. "I promise you, I will get through this. Go be safe." Astral changed their gravity back to the viewpoint. He would have his armor fire up as the twins floated back, Jaimie catching them as the gravity spell wore off. Astral looked at them more ready than ever. But feeling the onset of fatigue from this gauntlet.

"Bababababababa." Mu would babble on as Astral stood there confused.

"It will be done, He won't come close." Titan spoke to the child before looking at Astral. "You stand no chance. Once I kill you, that sweet girl of yours is up next." Astral froze, his armor turning from cyan to ice blue. Titan closed the gap, throwing a major haymaker at Astral who would catch it. Titan looked amazed.

"I would not talk about her unless you want a cruel death." Astral's tone turned dark as his suit shifted from its ice color to black. Astral would fire the three kick technique at Titan who didn't flinch as it took off his jaw. Titan regenerated it and smiled.

The true fight begins now. Astral would launch a volley of punches to push back Titan as he would take them laughing. When he responded with his own. It took everything Astral had to block each blow. The fury from the two was unrivaled. So much anger and hate felt like it ballooned all in this fight. Titan and Astral would zip around the arena faster than light attacking each other.

Titan's form was a sloppy mess of pure power to overwhelm his opponent. Astral used this and trusted his abilities and training to keep the damage down. Each punch countered with an appropriate block. Astral tried to throw in kicks to off balance Titan, it was in vain as he shrugged off each blow like it was the wind.

Titan's pure physical presence could not be understated, Astral was thrusting with the force of a supernova as Titan would just take it. His main priority was to buy time. He knew it would be completed in a few seconds for their plan to work, the difference being how much of it would be spent teasing Astral.

Astral wanted to badly bring out the Murasama, but he knew it was too early, he could do this without it and beat Titan man to man, flashes in his left eye brought back flashes of previous matches versus Titan. Only monumental level attacks seem to put him down for good.

The two of them raced around the arena after each other. Each attack trying to find a critical flaw or major weakness. Neither of them were making much progress, this became a fight of endurance, Titan the fresher fighter versus Astral who was at the point of exhaustion.

Each punch causing ripples in the air. Making booming sounds as the two moved in colorless blurs. Astral would be able to match Titan as it is, but what about when Titan adds lightning to his fists. Each blow and block would hurt as Astral grappled with his fists, before bringing his hand down hitting Titan with a massive wave of gravity.

Astral looked down with a static shock around him. He was tingling with pain watching Titan wave his hands. Astral looked up as all he saw was ice. "Firewall!" Astral would wave his hands bringing a wall of fire from the ground up above him turning the snow into mist. His armor would finally shift back into its cyan state.

The anger fled him as the mist consumed the arena. He needed a second to breathe, the mist made him feel at home even if it was for a fleeting moment of peace, he relished in it as he jumped upward to the top of the arena.

Astral waved his hand as light would form from the top of the arena where Astral stood, spears of light were sent down at lightspeed at Titan as he sidestepped each and every one of them seamlessly. Astral stood in awe as he realized he needed to do this himself, no reliance on his abilities.

Titan would blow away all of the mist as Astral came down and hit Titan right on the temple. Shattering his hand and Titan's skull. Reeling back he focused on his hand and healing it. Titan would laugh when his mouth reformed. "Ah, this will be too easy, you are still human. Have a taste of what you did to me!" Titan was right next to Astral who didn't have time to block it.

Being hit with an uppercut he was launched through the arena's barrier. All the way to the suns. Mu had spent the entire tournament time to align this one trick to stop Astral. Mu smiled at the sky clapping.

It clicked for Adam, that's why the sensors were going crazy. The suns had moved. No one noticed since the god's shined just as bright. Adam looked up. "You prepared for this, I know it." His voice was heard as everyone else sat back in disbelief.

Mu would be babbling loudly, the voice of a child being the only audible thing as Titan watched closely, wanting to see Astral be melted alive, or even worse, exploded by a supernova.

Mu undid the swaddle he was wrapped in as he waddled about. Adam drew up Astral's sniper and aimed it at the child walking about, the only one who seemed filled with anger opened fire, and yet the barrier still stood as each bullet fell flat.

Adam then loosened up, the barrier would only drop if Astral died, right? He waited as Titan slowly walked over and Mu waddled in circles, falling over and started to bawl on the stage.
