Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 Enchanting

Henry brought out the copper ore he found in the tunnel, placing it gently on Brown Work Station.

"Superior quality copper ore" Brown chuckled with disdain.

"How can the deserted whispering forest produce a superior quality copper ore? Ever since I was in this dammed place, I haven't seen any high-quality ores"

Although his mouth speaks with stinky spit his hand still reaches out and picks up the ash-covered copper piece.

"Well," this made Brown Suprise as he felt it.

He hastening picking up his magnifying glass with his hands shivering.

"Quality 86, it's pretty good even for superior quality ores," Henry said.

"You have a good eye..." The dwarf gripped the

copper ore tightly, clearly satisfied.

This wasn't true though, as the system directly told the player the grade of the ore.

No visual observation was required of the players, but he obviously didn't tell the NPC that.

Henry smiled and took out the dagger from his backpack.

"Master Brown, I guess you can keep the ore, all you need to do is enchant this weapon of mine"

In VRMMORPG, you enchant weapons using magic to attach an effect to a weapon, helmet, or other equipment, either temporary or permanent, and it is mostly done by dwarfs.

Henry wasn't too sure if Master Brown was an enchanter but he just decided to try, Brown was the only one willing to undertake tasks for the players.

Brown was shivering as he lifted his head to Henry.

"What a surprise, you know about enchantment?" Brown asked.

"Yes, of course I know about it, It is a great article, graciously given by the gods," Henry patiently flattered, this was because most of the current players hadn't even heard of enchanting.

The life occupations that were officially listed only included forger, Tailor forger, (Picking medical herbs, mining or hunting for skins), potion crafter, and forger.

Others such as Enchanter, jeweler, scribe builder, and cook would only appear in the next update of VRMMOROG.

When the players reached a big city, they would come into contact with an enchanter, and with a ridiculously high price, they could add an attribute to a piece of equipment.

This could make a small or big difference and could also be good or bad.

Henry's flattering made Brown feel more comfortable: The elf before him didn't seem as bad as the others: He picked up the dagger and stared at it for some moment, before flicking the blade with his finger.

"Crafted by Elves, look good but functionally useless Henry took his dagger as the most important weapon, so he only wanted to enchant his dagger.

Blood Mother's Fly (Bronze): Damage 8-15, Agility+2, Equipment requirement LV3, Durability 18/18.

This Bronze weapon wasn't too bad: it was a weapon that could be used when you were level 3 but was nothing compared to what the Dwarves could produce.

Henry didn't even border about the criticism.

Just smiling with embarrassment: "Master Brown can you give it a new life?"

"Yes, of course, I'm not only a Dwarven BlackSmith." Henry was lucky Brown was also an enchanter.

"Great Dwarven BlackSmith Brown, your generosity is to be admired" Henry placed his right hand on his chest and bowed in greatitude successfully enticing the Dwarf to take on the job.

Dwarves place great importance on their image, as he had already been praised in addition to being given the ore, it wasn't too difficult for him to accept the request.

After taking out a few odd pieces from behind his workstation and laying them in a certain order around the dagger, both of Brown's hands emitted a colored light, the outline of his fingers flickering.

Symbols then appeared from different angles and flew towards the dagger without entering it.

After a while Brown signed with the relief and returned the dagger to Henry "The original material isn't too great, I think this is the best I can do"

Brood mother Kiss (Steel): Damage 10-22, Agility +4, Special effect: Target will be poisoned if they are hit, dealing 20 damage per second, lasting for 5 seconds.

Equipment requirement LV5, Durability 30/30.

Woah, in the blink of an eye the sparrow had become a phoenix: the bronze equipment become steel.

If this was considered bad, what kind of Enchanter was?.

Henry decided to try the enchanting part based on a story his dad told him about a player who upgraded his weapon and it became more powerful.

"Henry thought his dad was only telling him a bedtime story as usual, but now it seems the night story serves as a guideline in VRMMORPG.

Henry was completely filled with gratitude: "Master Brown, this is the best dagger I have ever seen, The greatness of your enchantment is amazing, My dad did tell me about the Dwarves Blacksmith, now I have seen it with my eyes and I believe.

"The art of enchanting has been on the decline," the old dwarf said dejectedly as if Henry's words caused him to remember the past.

"No way, there are a lot of people who know about enchanting, There will be more enchanters in the future, don't worry master, you won't be lonely," Henry said as he moved very close to Brown.

"Those enchanters," Brown said as he shook his head" they have blasphemed enchanting, and blasphemed our ancestors."

Henry had no idea what Brown was saying "Master, Brown I can't quite understand what you're saying, I know you are old and you know much more than I do, am still a young Elf, and didn't know much."

Perhaps it was because Brown had been holding all of this within him for so long, and upon seeing Henry's respectful attitude, he replied.

"The history of enchantment started with a Magician in the ancient times, and has been developed for tens of thousands of years....modern Magicians strive for efficiency, and try to minimize materials used, maximizing the effects is wrong, as the quality of materials goes down, enchanting will become more and more worthless.."
