Chapter 33 - 32 - Written/Knowledge Test

Opening the tablet Victor logged in, what appeared on the screen was the test.

Using the screen pen Victor started the exam with gusto, the first section was a math test.

Looking over all of the different questions Victor quickly started working out the answers.

Time passed as Victor filled out answers from maths, english, geography and science. After almost 6 hours he only had two subjects left.

Only Monster knowledge and History were left. Opening up the next knowledge test was History.

'What was the great fall? Easy it was the start of the great calamity as technology started to fail and humanity lost what they relied upon the most.' Thinking to himself Victor answered the question before moving on to the next.

'What is considered the largest loss to the human race from the Great calamity? The loss of knowledge, technology, history and other important knowledge.'

'What is the Great Resistance Alliance Of All Races? It is the alliance made by all intelligent races coming together against the invasion of Demons and Devil's from Hell.'

'What is the Alliance Of the 10 Kingdoms? 19 different powers came together to work with each other, weather that be war, trade, advancement or growth. The alliance in total has 4 human, 1 Elven, 3 Dwafth and 2 Beastmen Kingdoms or Empires.'

'Why did the Alliance come about? A taboo cult called the Devil's Hand caused wide death and carnage across the eastern side of the green continent. Using the suffering, blood and souls that they sacrificed, a rift was created in the world, from which a large army from Hell to invade.

Tens of Thousands of Demonic Breasts, over and thousand Demons, tens of Devils and 3 Nobal Demons and 1 Nobal Devil to spread death and destination.

Even though it was a small army, it appeared too suddenly without any warning, which caused massive a delayed response.

Which aloud the demonic army too move unheated, allowing them to grow in strength and power.

In response 14 different Nations came together to fight back against the army and to seal the rift. Which truned into a bloody war that ended with an Empire and 3 kingdoms destroyed before the demonic army was defeated.

But it was too late as the Nobal Devil had accomplished it's goal in turning the rift into a stable portal to Hell.

So the remaining nations came together to defend against any demonic creature that would came through to the main plane.

Larter this alliance also changed to include other things not just for what it was originally created for, like helping each other to fight off invaders or the 15 great Academies.'

Victor quickly answered the questions one by one.

Moving on too the last topic which was about all sorts of monsters and information about them, Victor answered the questions quickly thanks to his memory and hardwork.

It wasn't hard as it was about recognising different monsters, their habits or weaknesses and abilities.

'When entering the territory of Flash Wolf Pack what are your first actions? Flash Wolf's pack range in size depending on their strength and if they have a pack leader or king. So first you need to check the area for how large the territory is...'

Looking forwards Victor saw Michael who was having an incredibly hard time, he was visibly frustrated as he tried to answer the different questions.

Shaking his head Victor finished the test early, after submitting it Victor wasn't allowed to leave so he took this time to rest before the next test.

Michael wasn't having such an easy time compared to Victor.

'Ah, Why the hell didn't I pay attention in School!' Michael complained over and over in his head as time passed he became more desperate thinking that he got all his answers wrong he was actually doing well.

The time limit got closer and closer to the end, when Victor finished there was still three hours left but they went by like a breeze.

"Ok Tablets Down! That's it!" Soon a teacher called out for them to stop.

"Now leave the tablets on the desks and leave in a orderly manner." The teacher continued seeing everyone following his instructions.

"Victor how did you go? You know what nevermind I don't want to know, I'll only hate myself more." Michael came over to Victor on the way out and looked haggard.

"Don't worry I know you've done alright and you'll pass." Victor patted Michael on the back.

"Coming from someone that easily aced the test, yeah you can keep you pity, I'm good." Victor's encouragement didn't help in fact it did the opposite.

"Come on now, we still have more to do and no time to waste." Victor ignored Michael's grumbling and started walking in the direction of the next test.

Following the crowd they joined other exam groups on their way.

The next area was a huge sports field which is used for not only sports and PE but also for basic military training.

Arriving at large spots field their was a large amount of buses waiting for them.

"Buses? Now why would there be buses?" Michael questioned in confusion.

"Maybe we won't be sent into a dungeon this year?" A nearby student replied his voice full of uncertainty as well.

The atsopshere changed from a stressed one to a unsure one as all the different students started to talk amongst themselves.

Looking around there was a undercover sitting area where parents were sitting watching.

Next to it was a private area for teachers of all the exam takers, the school leadership and some representatives from different organisations.

These representatives were from the government, guilds, business and different academies.

But even though all of them were from powerful groups or had high status, none of them dared to be rude to a select group sitting next to the principal.

Even the City Leader who was appointed by the government had a kind smile in front of this group of 4.

But even though everyone was full of smiles and kindness that didn't mean that they were.

"How much longer do I have to wait, I say if I wasn't order to come to this backwards village I wouldn't have wasted my precious time here." A man with his feet up leaning back said with a rude tone, he was wearing a button shirt that was left undone showing off his muscled chest and the gold chain necklace he had around his neck.

"Yeah, honestly I see no reason too come out here, after all there can't be any good seeds out here." A short women with pick hair agreed with him, not paying any attention to anything but her phone.

"There isn't even any proper resources or interesting monsters out here, nothing that can get my blood pumping." A huge man wearing only pants said, he was so big that the chair struggled to hold his massive muscular body.

The fourth was a quiet man wearing a straw hat that covered his head as he smoked a cigarette as he tapped on the handle of his sword.

Although he didn't speak it wasn't because of him being the quiet type, instead it was because in his eyes no one hear was worthy of speaking too.

"W-Well Mr Olliv after the students are sorted and sent to the venue then the exam will begin in accordance with the new model." The Principal spoke full of nervousness as he knew he couldn't even think of being rude to anyone of the four.

"I have no idea why we had to come here and wait 5 extra days, before hand it was only one damn day but now they've increased it 5 stupid days.. Sigh." The first man spoke as he ran his hand through his blonde hair before looking down at the students under his sunglasses.

"Honestly this place doesn't even meet the requirements to become a city, if it wasn't for the government investment, then it still would only be a small Town." The women said full of distrain

The words of the two caused the nearby crowd to grit their teeth, but even so no one dare to say anything.

Sitting here and listening to them disregard and disrespect their home like this. Yes Flora City is small and out of the way but their still full of spirit.

Flora City is different from most cities in the empire as it wasn't founded to be a normal city as there is no returns on such a large investment.

Instead it was made for another reason outside of keeping territory, as every year countless soldiers and people die either to monsters or demonic beings.

And this unfortunately leave children without anyone to take care of them, so they either die, become criminals or homeless.

This isn't the case in the Empire, as the Empire helps it's citizens and secures the future for the younger generation by creating a few cities in certain areas.

Flora City being one, as it's location is perfect for young children without any family.

Being in such a weak zone allows for them to grow up safely and have a chance at creating a bright future.

That's why almost every child leaves the city after the age of 16, making it so the population doesn't increase much each year.

As for the other residents well some people want to live away from danger or are too old or injured, so they come here to live.

Likewise some people come back for their own reasons, so when it comes to their home city they are actually quite proud to live here and call it home.

But they couldn't speak out their objections as these four were each from a academy in the top 50 in the Empire.

Not to mention that they are also far stronger than anyone in the city, so even if they were the lowest staff in that school they still could afford to offend them.

"You better hurry it along." Hearing this the Principal's face went slightly pale, so he stood up and went forwards before addressing the gathered students and parents.

"Now I know you all must be confused as to why there are buses here instead of a fabricated dungeon. This is because the government has changed the model of the Combat exam." Hearing this instead of being relieved or exited with this change they became nervous.

The previous exam was already hard enough for them to pass, but now the exam had completely changed without any prior notice.

This left everyone confused and unsure if they would even be able to pass, let alone get a good score.
