Chereads / The Road to Immortality with the System / Chapter 50 - Destroying Everything

Chapter 50 - Destroying Everything

Hao Gongming was not chaotic and insane.

Everything that had happened was according to her plan. It may not have been her ideal plan, and she would have preferred to wait for another billion years, but there were risks associated with waiting that long.

Those risks had nothing to do with other rank 19 existences.

The combined power of rank 19 existences was indeed greater than hers, but she could have matched them if she had stopped expending her reality points on her world, even just for a moment.

The real danger lay with the creator, of course.

The creator didn't leave this world to decay; he would return at some point to observe how things were progressing. And if he sees Hao Gongming with her reality points …

The creator's purpose was singular: to increase his power.

There was no higher purpose behind it; he simply desired to consume everything when the time was right.

Hao Gongming had no idea when the creator would return. It could be quadrillions of years later or the next moment. But she knew that he would return.

This knowledge stemmed from the existence of the space crack.

It was created to prevent the creator from losing track of the worlds he had created within the void.

When it temporarily opens, approximately every one million years, it sends signals to the creator, indicating the location of the worlds. And when it opens every trillion years, it allowed entry to existences permitted by the creator.

Of course, the creator held the master key and could return whenever he desired. The space crack served as a trap for other existences, like Hao Gongming, who reincarnated from other worlds with powerful cheats.

During her time in real world, Hao Gongming had noticed other reincarnated existences. However, she eliminated them all, as she understood the danger that people with cheats could pose.

Fortunately for her, when she arrived in this world, there were no other reincarnated individuals present, as she had arrived almost immediately after its creation.

Still, cheats and golden fingers possessed by transmigrators were collected by Hao Gongming; they were snatched away by the rules of the real world.

Regarding the fundamental question of why the creator was engaging in this pursuit, it was revealed in his inheritance left in this world. The reason lay in the power of the void.

Many believe that void signifies nothingness. However, even nothingness holds value for existences like the creator.

In the grand scheme of the universe, everything revolves around balance. When worlds are created, the power of the beings within them must derive from somewhere, and that source is the power of the void, the power of nothingness.

The power of nothingness supplies all the power that exists in the real world. The stronger the existences in the real world, the more power of nothingness is absorbed to support the creatures within.

And when the creator returns, he absorbs everything and reverts it back to its original form—nothingness.

In this way, he gains a portion of the power of nothingness for himself.

There are numerous real worlds scattered across the universe, and according to the inheritance, the true path of cultivation lies in harnessing the power of nothingness.

There are no predefined steps or rigid structures. With the power of nothingness comes authority. One can utilize the power of nothingness to accomplish virtually infinite things. As long as the power is sufficient, anything is possible.

This is precisely why Hao Gongming fears the creator so much.

Her reality points are essentially akin to the power of nothingness. She accumulates reality points from creatures who depend on her, and if the creator were to discover this, he would likely do anything to obtain it.

Hence, she couldn't afford to wait any longer. Even though the odds were low, she couldn't risk it.

She gazed at the twelve rank 19 beings who had gathered around her. The formation had completely blocked her path of escape, and these fourteen individuals might actually have a chance to kill her.

"It's a pity for all of you that I will never betray myself," she declared resolutely.

Hao Gongming's clone smiled and suddenly cast a spell of illusion dao.

At the same time, Hao Gongming's real body cast a spell of reality dao, ensuring that even if Vampire Russle and President One Million desired to dispel their spells, they couldn't.

"You!" King Golden Eyes screamed upon realizing that he had been betrayed.

It shouldn't have been this easy to deceive these rank 19 beings. However, Hao Gongming's real body cleverly manipulated luck dao to her advantage.

She deliberately made her luck so terrible that disaster was inevitable. And who could bring disaster upon her? Of course, the other rank 19 existences.

As for her clone, she had successfully deceived everyone, including heavenly dao and luck dao, to make this plan possible.

Hao Gongming had invested a massive amount of reality points to turn her clone's betrayal into a reality.

And it was indeed a reality—her clone was now betraying her. This was why heavenly dao and luck dao didn't detect anything. After all, reality points and the power of nothingness were strikingly similar, and she suspected they were either opposing forces or different manifestations of the same thing.

Using her laptop, she contacted her clone, who was unaware of the grand scheme, and proposed a deal too attractive to reject. The plan was for them to merge, resulting in a 50/50 partnership, where the new entity would embody both of them. Her clone agreed upon learning about the world's secrets and the underlying plans.

After that contact, heavenly dao and luck dao discovered the truth, but with the combination of illusion dao and reality dao, Hao Gongming managed to temporarily render them inactive. As a result, all divinations only showed her terrible luck and revealed nothing else.

President One Million screamed and unleashed her trump card—"space hole." This ultimate teleportation technique could pierce through anything, even the void, to reach the user anywhere within the real world. However, after a blinding light, it failed.

The combination of reality dao and illusion dao possessed a mysterious power that surpassed it. Even the space hole couldn't overcome the barrier of reality and illusion.

"It appears that running is not an option," calmly remarked Russell, the oldest vampire, his voice filled with tranquility.

Then, he imitated illusion dao and cast the spell "Blood Bath."

Suddenly, red clouds emerged, and it began to rain. The raindrops were composed of blood, and each drop had the potential to kill countless 18th step beings upon impact.

These drops were illusory in nature and couldn't be defended against by any means.Russell directed all of the blood rain towards Hao Gongming and her clone.

However, Hao Gongming smiled and cast the spell "Light of Reality." As a result, each raindrop lost its illusory state and became real.

Then, Hao Gongming's clone cast "Light of Illusion." Once again, every drop transformed into an illusion, but this time, the illusion was under the control of Hao Gongming's clone and not Russell.

Russle's imitations were imperfect, giving him no chance against a true supreme grandmaster of the dao he was imitating. He sighed and dispelled the spell, as the control of the drops slipped from his grasp, causing them to disappear.

In the meantime, Chief of Orcs, Purple Blood, who was a supreme grandmaster of strength dao and thick skin dao, rushed forward and delivered a powerful punch to Hao Gongming.

Simultaneously, Queen of Tigers, Rorr, leaped towards Hao Gongming's clone with the intention of biting her to death. Rorr excelled in bite dao, jump dao, and speed dao.

Leader of the largest werewolf pack, Richard, cast his spell "Power Blessing" on both Purple Blood and Rorr. Richard was a supreme grandmaster in support dao and moon dao.

Queen of Turtles, Worldback, utilized her spell "External Shell" to protect both Rorr and Purple Blood.

King of Goblins, Black Shoe, started to disappear, preparing for a potential sneak attack at any moment. He was a supreme grandmaster in dark dao, invisible dao, and assassin dao.

Lord of Flies, Wingless, cast her spell "Light" upon both Purple Blood and Rorr. Wingless was a supreme grandmaster in flying dao and lightweight dao.

Lastly, the new King of Worms, Homnan, cast his spell "Restrict" on both Hao Gongming and her clone.

He was a supreme grandmaster in restrict dao.

Russle and President One Million were also casting their spells.

They all attacked together to concentrate their attack power and eliminate both Hao Gongming and her clone as quickly as possible. They were aware that reality dao and illusion dao had a massive advantage in evading heavenly dao, so speed was crucial.

Rorr bit into Hao Gongming's clone, tearing her to pieces. However, in an instant, the entire scene turned into an illusion, as if nothing had happened.

Undeterred, Rorr roared and bit her again, swallowing her whole. But then, an illusion of Hao Gongming appeared outside, and with a small expenditure of reality points, that illusion became reality, causing the thing Rorr had swallowed to turn into an illusion.

"Now it's my turn," Hao Gongming's clone declared.

She cast illusion mirror, creating an illusory version of Rorr. Then, she spent a vast number of reality points to turn that illusion into reality and commanded it to attack the real Rorr.

Prior to the fight, she had received a significant number of reality points from her real body.

The two Rorrs engaged in combat, but the real Rorr had an advantage due to the spells that enhanced her strength.

On the other side, Hao Gongming's real body didn't dodge at all; she simply retaliated with a powerful punch against Purple Blood.

The aftermath was extremely intense, but unlike the bubble world, this world was much more stable, so despite a massive tremor in the sealed space, nothing catastrophic occurred.

It appeared that Hao Gongming and Purple Blood were evenly matched in strength.

"How is this possible?" Purple Blood exclaimed in astonishment.

"What I say is possible, is possible," Hao Gongming grinned.

She used reality points to make her punch as strong as Purple Blood's.

"Hey, clone of mine, let's end this," she shouted.

Then, both of them disappeared, leaving all the rank 19 existences searching in vain.

"This doesn't look good! We have to escape this space now," someone urgently suggested.

Everyone combined their powers in an attempt to crack open a hole in the sealed space and make their escape.

Outside the sealed space, Hao Gongming and her clone appeared. "So, it's time, right?" the clone asked.

"Yup, don't you trust me after everything I've shown you?" Hao Gongming replied.

The clone smirked and said, "Let's begin."

She then cast her self-calculated illusion spell called "Perfect Copy."

This spell could copy another individual, replicating everything about them except for their level of attainment.

The target of this spell was her real body. She became illusory and her looks changed to match her real body.

Since they already looked alike, the only noticeable change was in their clothes and equipment.

Next, the real body cast "Modify Reality" on the clone. Hao Gongming's clone, who looked like her but wasn't really her, as it was just an illusion.

However, at this moment, the illusion became reality, and the clone truly became her. It was an undeniable fact that the clone had transformed into her.

Both beings began to merge with each other, forming a new entity that resembled a combination of the clone and the real body.

"Well, it went better than expected!" Hao Gongming exclaimed.

Now the clone had become the real body, and the real body had become the clone, with no discernible difference between the two anymore.

"The most important part of the plan, obtaining illusion dao, has succeeded!"

Hao Gongming had long known that Homlan was alive, and that was why she had made such great efforts to find her.

Sending her clones into simulation worlds was not solely to find harem members; it was primarily to locate Homlan.

Becoming a supreme grandmaster was no easy task, and if Hao Gongming wanted to attain supreme grandmaster level in illusion dao, it could take trillions of years. Therefore, she devised a plot against Homlan and pushed her to the brink of death.

Hao Gongming was aware of what lay outside the simulations and knew about the nearby leech. She knew that after witnessing the outside world, homlan would be sent to the simulations.

So, she convinced Homlan to look outside by revealing some secrets and piquing her curiosity.

Afterwards, Hao Gongming searched for her tirelessly within the simulations.

Fast forward to the present, she has become a supreme grandmaster in both reality dao and illusion dao, and she has trapped the remaining 12 rank 19 beings.

With a smile, she cast a spell that combined reality dao and illusion dao. "Illusion becomes reality," she chanted.

Suddenly, the sealed space transformed into a crystalline form. Initially illusory, it could not be sustained for long, but then reality points poured in, and the illusory crystal became a tangible reality.

Everything within that sealed space was transformed into an ageless diamond crystal, killing all the rank 19 beings in a single move.

Immediately after that, the entire real world began shrinking uncontrollably.

Hao Gongming laughed as she attacked and killed every living being, including her harem and the human race.

However, they were already saved in the laptop and could be brought back to life, and Prior to this, Hao Gongming's clone had given orders to Kang and Su to get out of simulations and they were also saved.

As Hao Gongming continued to eliminate more and more creatures, the real world shrank further, causing the rules governing it to weaken.

One of the fundamental laws was that as the real world diminished in size, its laws became weaker, making it easier to break or bend them.

After a few years, the real world had become so small that its entire space was no larger than a galaxy. Almost all living things in the real world had perished by this point.

Hao Gongming shifted her attention to the simulations and began attacking them.

With the rules now significantly weakened, even assaulting simulations was possible. Eventually, all the simulations were destroyed, and the real world continued to shrink.

"Now it's time to erase history," she smiled.

Hao Gongming started using reality dao and illusion dao to erase history itself.

If history existed, then the possibility of the revival of all deceased creatures would persist, preventing the complete destruction of the real world.

As history continued to be erased, the real world shrunk further and further.

All simulation spaces vanished, leaving only the real world behind. With each passing moment, the space contracted until it was reduced to the size of a planet.

At this point, the stability of the world became precarious, and cracks appeared everywhere in space.

Hao Gongming knew that in order to eliminate the last flaw, she had to completely destroy the real world.

If it remained intact, there was a possibility that the creator could detect her world.

However, by obliterating it, her world would become completely undetectable in the endless void. No one, not even the creator, would be able to find it.

As the cracks grew more numerous and imminent destruction loomed, Hao Gongming cast her final spell. "World transfer," she intoned.

In an instant, she disappeared.

Moments later, the real world was annihilated, consumed by the vast expanse of nothingness that surrounded it.
