Chapter 42 - Reality Dao

Hao Gongming sneered and cast the spell "Modify Reality," causing the fireball to disappear directly.

She then proceeded to cast "Reversal of Ice and Fire," a specially prepared spell to disable the dragon's fire-related abilities. It was impossible for the dragon to overpower Hao Gongming, considering her deep pool of reality points.

As a result, the dragon, whose power primarily stemmed from fire, nearly lost all her combat capabilities due to this spell.

Meanwhile, the massive tree was struck by three of her spells before being reduced to ashes.

The remaining seven spells struck the Dwarven lands, resulting in almost half of the dwarves in the real world being transformed into humans and teleported to the Hao Harem Sect.

The remaining dwarves were scattered throughout the real world, and thus, they remained unaffected.

Guide witnessed this catastrophic event and was on the verge of a breakdown.

The race transformation had set back the Dwarven race for generations, even affecting those at 18th step. The consequences were extremely severe.

Filled with anger, Fire activated her trump card and cast the spell "Fire Ice Ruler," temporarily transforming herself from a fire dragon into a fire ice dragon.

This allowed her to unleash most of her power without being restricted by Hao Gongming's spell. She opened her mouth and released a massive ice ball.

Hao Gongming cast the spell "Modify Reality" again, causing the ice ball to disappear.

The advantage of dragon breath was its minimal consumption.

At the 19th step, spells below that level were almost free to cast, allowing them to be used limitlessly. However, spells at the 19th step came with significant consumption.

After each battle, they would need thousands of years, at minimum, to replenish and return to their peak.

Hao Gongming had an advantage in this regard due to her vast reserves of reality points. She could fight for thousands of years without depleting her supply. However, other 19th steps had much fewer reserves.

The only threat they posed was their combined power, which she couldn't resist alone.

Of course, she could choose to flee, but that would result in the destruction of the human race and her harem.

Additionally, she didn't want to kill anyone, as they were necessary for the 20th step. Therefore, she couldn't utilize her full strength.

Enslaving the 19th step individuals was out of the question since they had attainment at the supreme grandmaster level. To successfully enslave someone above rank 10, the enslaver's attainments must be higher than the person being enslaved.

Sealing them all would also not be practical for an extended period as it would constantly consume reality points to maintain the seals, which outweighed the benefits.

"So my only choice is to injure you to the point where you can't fight for a long time," she smiled and cast a spell called "Blood Relations Have Consequences" that had a high offensive potential.

This masterful spell took her years to calculate, and defending against it was impossible for those without supreme grandmaster proficiency in at least one of the following: human dao, blood relations dao, or reality dao.

The spell targeted all of Fire's blood relatives, of which she had many as an ancestor of her race, and inflicted injuries upon them.

However, every injury inflicted on those relatives would instead be transferred to Fire herself.

It was almost impossible to defend against this spell using defensive magic. Even if Fire somehow managed to prevent injuries to herself, the injuries would rebound and affect her relatives instead.

Since Hao Gongming's spell was a 19th level spell capable of injuring Fire, if these injuries were to land on other dragons, they would have no chance to escape and would perish.

Soon, numerous injuries manifested on her body, overwhelming even Fire, who was a 19th step being.

Fire let out a mighty roar as she unleashed her ultimate trump card—an amalgamation of ice and fire that burned the world.

Although Fire was primarily a fire dragon, she had also attained mastery of ice dao as a supreme grandmaster.

This spell was the culmination of tens of thousands of years of arduous work. It had the extraordinary ability to generate ice wherever water existed, utilizing it as fuel to burn everything in its path. With an immense range, it was designed to wreak havoc on a massive scale. And now, its destructive power was aimed at the human lands.

Hao Gongming's lips curved into a sly smile as she cast Modify Reality, instantly eradicating all water and ice from the human lands.

This action consumed a substantial number of reality points, but to her, it was a trifling expense. With this simple maneuver, Fire's trump card was rendered completely useless.

Hao Gongming had assimilated innumerable clones, gaining an unrivaled level of knowledge and intelligence. As soon as she laid eyes on Fire's spell, she understood its mechanics.

If not for the constraints imposed by the laws of the real world, Hao Gongming would have ascended far beyond the 19th rank by now.

Then she looked at Guide, and just as she was about to deliver another blow, the dwarf king Guide gritted his teeth and cast a spell called "Luck Sucker."

The "Luck Sucker" spell would collect all favorable luck from the people around and transfer it to Guide.

She smirked and cast "Reverse Karma."

Instantly, her luck appeared extremely bright.

"Reverse Karma" was specifically designed to counter Guide's luck manipulation.

Luck is a mysterious force, typically categorized into two types: golden bright luck and dark black luck.

Golden bright luck represents favorable outcomes, while dark black luck signifies misfortune.

Under normal circumstances, the reverse karma spell would have no impact. It only activates when another luck spell interferes with Hao Gongming's luck.

Any golden bright luck that leaves her is transformed into dark black luck, while any dark black luck that invades her luck is converted into golden bright luck.

At this moment, a significant amount of her golden bright luck was leaving her, and an equal amount of dark black light was infiltrating her luck. However, the reverse karma spell intercepted the process midway.

It transformed the dark black light that was invading the golden bright luck and turned the golden bright luck that was leaving into dark black luck.

The dark black light remained suspended in midair, returning to Hao Gongming before being converted back into bright golden light by the reverse karma effect.

In a single move, Hao Gongming turned Guide's invasive spell into a fortune-boosting spell for herself.

Her spell protected her luck and even increased it, while Guide's spell began to drain the luck of Lord of Green and Fire. They both changed their looks and pleaded with Guide to stop.

Reluctantly, he halted the spell and asked Lord of Green, "What are you doing now?"

Lord of Green replied, "I am preparing the ultimate tree. Just protect me for a few moments."

Hao Gongming showed interest and waited for him to cast his spell with a smile.

The elf looked serious and cast the spell "World Tree."

Suddenly, a massive tree appeared out of nowhere. It was huge and possessed the power of a 19th step being.

The tree started moving towards the human lands.

Hao Gongming smiled and used her reality Dao spell, "Modify Reality." A massive amount of reality points vanished, and the tree disappeared.

Lord of Green coughed up blood and looked in disbelief. "You used Modify Reality to kill my rank 19 spiritual beast?"

He was filled with fear and quickly fled.

He couldn't imagine how many reality points she had to do this.

If this is the case, then killing them would not be difficult at all!

The dragon also spread its wings and flew away. They were no match for Hao Gongming and knew they would die if they stayed. Naturally, they were not willing to die for Guide.

"Now it's just you and me," Hao Gongming sneered, fixing her gaze on Guide.

Guide, pale but determined, gritted his teeth and unleashed his trump card. He wasn't weak; in fact, he was the second strongest among the 19th steps. However, the disparity between him and Hao Gongming was vast.

But if he went all out, he had a chance to win. He shouted his spell, "Lock My Luck," a powerful combination of his expertise in Luck Dao and Lock Dao. With the aid of special items reinforcing the spell, it could be considered his strongest defensive spell.

Hao Gongming observed this and pondered deeply. She could use her Reality Dao to modify reality and reduce his luck, but it would likely require an immense amount of reality points. Guide's locked luck made any other attack futile.

"It's really troublesome," Hao Gongming sighed.

Sealing or similar methods wouldn't work either, as they would reduce Guide's luck, which was impossible due to the luck lock. Consequently, any seal would inevitably fail.

In short, anything that would reduce Guide's luck would fail.

Guide smirked and retrieved a token, crushing it. The token stored the accumulated protagonist luck he had collected over the years. All that protagonist luck now fell upon him, elevating his luck even further. The lock on his luck didn't hinder him, as it kept his luck in its best state, and the protagonist luck merely expanded the upper limit of that best state.

Hao Gongming glared at him, gritting her teeth and casting her spell.

"Leaving him like this is dangerous. With this kind of luck, he can be a threat."

She shouted "Killing by Root," and unleashed the spell.

This spell would not only kill the target but also store their essence in her laptop. She could revive him at any time to reach the 20th step once that worm is ready.

However, storing a 19th step entity required a significant amount of space, and the laptop had reached its capacity. It couldn't store any more 19th step entities.

It wasn't a sealing technique, as Guide would truly die, and bringing him back would require an astronomical number of reality points.

None of these actions violated or twisted the laws of the real world; they were within the permissible boundaries set by those laws.

Attempting to individually reach the 20th step would indeed bend the laws of the real world and require an immense amount of reality points. Similarly, trying to eliminate the condition that all individuals must reach the 20th step together would break the law, and Hao Gongming lacked the necessary amount of reality points to even attempt it.

Soon, The spell took effect, and Guide died without resistance. All the defensive spells, the luck lock, and the protagonist luck were useless.

In the real world, Guide was unquestionably dead—it was a fact, a reality.

All of that "protagonist luck" disappeared and went to an unknown place.

Hao Gongming didn't know much about protagonist luck, but she didn't care much about it because Guide died here.

Therefore, this luck is probably going to be absorbed by the real world and redistributed among all the protagonists in the simulations.

The simulations were not separate from the real world; they were a part of it that acted like a breeding ground. They were heavily protected by the laws, and that was why even 19th step beings couldn't interfere much.

Of course, as time passed, they found some loopholes, but a little interference was the limit.

That was why she couldn't kill that clone that went rogue. Unless she was willing to spend a terrifying amount of reality points to bend the rules of the real world for a moment, it was impossible for her to kill her directly.

She wasn't willing to spend the majority of her reality points just to kill a rough clone.

Since she relied on reality dao for most of her attacks, reality points were extremely valuable to her.

This ability to shape reality was why Hao Gongming was revered as the strongest. She possessed the power to alter reality; it was merely a matter of having enough reality points.

Not, all daos are equal. Her reality dao is the strongest dao in the real world.

It can completely suppress daos like fire or luck because both of those are within the range of reality.

Only if the attainment is different can they win, like if Hao Gongming was only a quasi supreme grandmaster in reality dao, then she could not do any of these.

"Wow, that consumed a substantial amount of reality points. What a waste," Hao Gongming remarked.

"I hope this serves as a deterrent to others!" With that, she teleported away to her Hao harem sect to attend to the new members.
