Chapter 1 - Stat Points Are Too Strong(Improved)

In the endless jungles of Yin Province, there was a small road in the middle of many trees.

This road was deserted and had not been used for a long time.

But at this moment, a young woman named Hao Gongmingg was running very fast on the road.

Hao Gongmingg was from Earth and had arrived in this strange world a few days ago.

Unlike others who would get various cheats, she had got no such thing.

Worse, when she first arrived, she was alone in the middle of an unknown jungle!

She spent a few days in the wilderness and survived thanks to her abnormally strong body.

But now, she was running from a monster.

The monster was as big as a horse and was very fast. Hao Gongmingg was covered in dirt and was getting tired.

She thought, "If it goes on like this, I'm dead in just a few minutes."

Hao Gongming thought of many plans, but the situation was terrible. She couldn't think of any way to turn the situation around.

The jungle was very dangerous, and going into it meant certain death.

Her only chance was this road, but her flexibility was limited on a straight road.

She begged in her mind, "Everyone who transmigrates gets a system. Please, where are you, system? System??"

At that moment, a sound appeared in her mind as if a god had heard her plea.

"Level up system activated! As long as you get enough XP, you can level up and get stat points and various rewards. Your stats are the following:

Physical power: 6.9, Magical power: 6.4, Soul power: 8.5, Free stat points: 10, Your level: 1(439/500), Talent: Low-level dragon blood."

"Yes, finally," she thought in her mind.

She began thinking very fast of a way to defeat the monster.

"Now I have 10 stat points. I don't know any spells, and I don't even know what soul power does. So let's increase physical power."

As soon as she decided to increase her physical power by one point, it automatically went up by one.

When it rose and reached 7.9, she felt her fatigue significantly relieved, and her speed was even faster.

She thought, "Just one point has this kind of effect? So if I put all my points on physical ability... doesn't that mean I can kill this damn monster easily?"

With this thought, she put another point into physical strength.

Immediately after, she felt all her fatigue was gone, and she felt she could punch the beast to death with one punch!

She thought, "Calm down, calm down! It must be an illusion! How can one point cause such a change?"

She looked back at the monster and realized it may not be an illusion! The beast was far behind and was very slow compared to her! So she stopped running and looked at the beast, waiting for it to arrive!

Hao Gongming waited for some time until the monster finally arrived.

However, to her surprise, it didn't attack and seemed afraid of her.

Hao Gongming, who appeared tiny compared to the enormous, muscular beast, was astonished.

Without hesitation, she decided to test her strength by throwing a punch at the monster's head.

She held back some of her power, but even then, the beast was too slow to dodge. With a loud bang, its head exploded and split open, splattering brain matter on Hao Gongming's body.

In just one punch, she had defeated the formidable monster.

Overwhelmed by her strength, Hao Gongming thought, "Unbelievable! I was strong before, but nowhere near this level. It seems these two points have made me many times stronger. With this system, I, Hao Gongmingg, will become the strongest in the world!"

She looked at the system interface and was surprised to see her experience points had increased by 611, her level had gone up by 1, and she had gained an additional stat point.

Her current level was 2 (550/1000).

Feeling relieved, Hao Gongmingg realized that with her increased strength, she no longer had to be so fearful.

She decided to continue on the road, hoping to reach a village or some sort of civilization.

She decided to hold off on allocating her stat points for now, as they were precious, and she wanted to understand the concepts of magical and soul power before deciding.

...

Hao Gongming traveled along the road for several days.

Her clothes had become tattered and full of holes, and she felt uncomfortable and smelled terrible.

She ventured into the jungle a few times to hunt animals for food. As a result, she gained another level and was now at level 3(290/2000). However, she noticed that each level required double the experience points of the previous level.

This made her realize that gaining levels would become increasingly difficult. It further emphasized the importance of being cautious with her stat points.

After five days of walking, signs of civilization started to appear. The dense jungle gave way to occasional farmland, and after six days, Hao Gongming finally encountered a human being.

Excited, she approached the person, a boy who seemed 16 years old, working in a field.

The boy seemed surprised by her sudden appearance.

Hao Gongming introduced herself and explained that she had been in the jungle for over a week.

She asked for his help finding out where they were since she was unfamiliar with the area.

The boy, named Gao Feng, had dark hair, brown eyes, and darker skin. He appeared handsome and didn't seem like a bad person.

Nervously, he agreed to help Hao Gongming and led her to a nearby house.

Hao Gongming noticed his nervousness and realized her disheveled appearance might have made him suspicious.

She decided to get new clothes and bathe inside the house before heading to the nearest city as soon as possible. She longed for a warm bath after spending so much time in the jungle.

As they entered the house, Hao Gongming asked if it belonged to the boy.

He scratched his head and replied, "No, of course not. All the houses and farmlands around here belong to Master Bai."

He looked down and continued, "Miss, may I ask for your name?"

Hao Gongming apologized for not introducing herself earlier and revealed that she was Hao Gongming from a distant place.

She asked for the boy's name, to which he replied, "I'm Gao Feng. I'm farming here because my father is a chef in the cloudy Sky Sect."

Hao Gongming asked, "Sorry, but what is the cloudy Sky Sect?"

Gao Feng gave her a strange look and replied, "It's an immortal sect that controls all the land around here. Everyone works for them, and they are very famous."

Hao Gongming inquired, "What is an immortal sect?"

The boy's eyes widened, and he exclaimed, "Miss Hao, you don't know what an immortal sect is?"

She admitted, "No, I was raised in a rural place in the middle of the jungle."

Scratching his head, Gao Feng explained, "An immortal sect is where immortal masters reside and cultivate. Every mortal here would do anything for a chance to cultivate immortality in the sect. Unfortunately, most people don't have the qualifications for cultivation."

Hao Gongming grew increasingly intrigued and said, "Can you take me to the cloudy sky Sect?"

Gao Feng hesitated and replied, "I'm sorry, but I can't do that. I can't leave here without permission."

Hao Gongming pleaded, "Please, Brother Gao, I beg you to help me."

Gao Feng wrestled with himself and finally relented, "Okay, I'll help you."

Hao Gongming was overjoyed and said, "Great! Let me take a bath and change into better clothes. Then we can set off."

Gao Feng was astonished and advised, "Miss, you've just arrived after days in the jungle. Let's rest here for a while, and tomorrow we can continue."

Reluctantly, Hao Gongming agreed, "Okay, we'll go there tomorrow. Now, where is the bathroom?"

...

After a while, Hao Gongming sat in a wooden bath with cold water.

Gao Feng was very kind and was warming a few baskets of water right now. According to him, having water for bathing in the house was a luxury. Usually, they would go to a river.

She contemplated, "Let's just rest here for one day. Tomorrow, I'll see what this immortal sect is like. If it's similar to the sects in the novels from my previous life, I must become a disciple. With both the system and cultivation, I can become stronger faster."

After a while, there was a knock on the door. Hao Gongming said, "Come in," but nobody entered.

She speculated, "I'm taking a bath and naked. Maybe he doesn't want to see other people naked, so he didn't come in."

Thinking that way, she said, "Just leave the warm water behind the door; I'll take it myself. Thank you for your help."

After a while, she received the water and finally took a warm bath after more than a week in the jungle.

After a few hours, Hao Gongming wore one of Gao Feng's clothes and felt much better.

Although the clothes didn't fit well, especially around the chest area, they were still much better than her dirty clothes. Now, she sat on the ground, waiting for food.

They had porridge with some meat and lots of vegetables for dinner. Hao Gongming didn't really like it.

Earth's food was much better, but she politely said it was delicious and thanked him.

As night fell, Gao Feng brought her the best pillow and blanket.

The nights were getting very cold, and even though it was warmer inside the house, there were many holes, so the blanket was necessary.

He used an old blanket for himself and went to sleep.

...

Morning arrived, and Hao Gongming woke up first. She noticed that Gao Feng was hugging himself and appeared cold.

She shrugged her shoulders and decided to put the blanket he gave her on him. After all, Hao Gongming didn't need it anymore. She stretched and went outside to explore a bit.

She explored the area and noticed that the land was relatively small, about 100 meters long.

Unfamiliar plants were scattered all over the place.

She ventured further and discovered numerous plots of land similar to Gao Feng's.

Many people were waking up and preparing for their day of work.

After about an hour, she returned to find Gao Feng still holding the blanket she put on him, lost in his thoughts.

Clearing her throat, she asked, "Can we leave now?"

Gao Feng, looking resolute, replied, "Yes, I'll get ready right away!"

...

After an hour, they finally started their journey.

Hao Gongming asked, "How far is the sect from here?"

Gao Feng replied, "The sect headquarters is far away, but many gathering places are nearby. Luckily, there's one very close to us. We can reach it in just a few hours."

She nodded, and they continued their journey.

After a few hours, Gao Feng became very tired, but Hao Gongming felt completely fine and not at all tired. As they approached their destination, she saw a building with large walls far superior to any other building she had seen in this world.

She smiled and asked, "Is that the gathering place?"

Gao Feng, struggling to catch his breath, replied, "You're correct, that is..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Hao Gongming interrupted, saying, "Thank you, Brother Gao. You've helped me a lot. I can continue on my own from here. It's better if they don't see you. Goodbye." With that, she started moving toward the building.

Gao Feng stared at her blankly, looking very disappointed. After a few minutes of blankly gazing at the gathering place, he clenched his teeth. He thought, "If only I had the talent to become immortal... If only I could become immortal."

Hao Gongming was beautiful, and his heart trembled when he first saw her.

He wanted to help her as much as possible, hoping she would notice him and maybe they could start a relationship.

But now, it seemed like she didn't even look at him.

He knew the reason: "It's because I'm poor. I don't have immortal talent."

He almost cried and decided to risk his life to enter the immortal world.

He knew of a dangerous secret that could help him.

Before, he didn't dare to go there, but now he was determined. He would either become immortal or die trying!
